At CES in Las Vegas, Casio has announced its first Android Wear device, the snappily named WSD-F10. While it might look like a typical Wear device (complete with 'flat tyre') of which there seem to be so many, there are, as you might expect given Casio's heritage, some neat little features on this 'Smart Outdoor Watch' to make it stand out from the crowd.
In our review of the Xiaomi Xiao Yi (aka small ants) IP camera we raved about its performance as well as its bargain price. One downside however was the fact that if you want to point it out of a window, there was no way to disable the night vision feature to prevent reflections. Good news - there now is!
Honor, Huawei's 'digital native' sub brand, is coming to the US... finally launching in a territory where the spelling of its name makes sense. The first phone to be launched over the pond is not the current flagship, the Honor 7, but a mid-range device carrying the 5X moniker, which will sell for an impressive $199 SIM free at HiHonor.com, Amazon and NewEgg.

Google are currently running a 'Get a TV Season on Us' offer in the Play Store, offering a number of full seasons of kids TV shows at the bargain price of £0! Available in a mix of SD and HD versions, the shows are ideal for keeping younger children occupied via your phone or tablet.
HTC's quirky little camera, the Re, is currently 50% at that famous electronics retailer M&S, bringing the price down to a far more reasonable £69.50, including free shipping. The camera, which is only available in white, comes bundled with a 8GB microSD card and lanyard.
Cut the Rope has been a massively successful franchise for Zeptolab. And rightly so, it's a fantastic series of games! The companies new release, Cut the Rope: Magic, has just arrived in the Play Store at the price-du-jour... free (with In App Purchases). As an added bonus however, the game is also available via Amazon Underground, in a version offering special IAPs for free.
Google have added a night-reading mode to their Play Books app on Android (and iOS), called 'Night Light'. When enabled, the feature gradually filters blue light from your screen, replacing it with a warm, amber light as the sun sets. Night Light automatically adapts to the amount of natural sunlight outside based on the time of day at your location. This should reduce strain on your eyes, particularly before you go to sleep, so it's definitely a good thing. The problem? We actually REALLY want a proper e-ink reader.
Do you remember that earlier this year, EE were handing out free 'power bars' (cylindrical battery packs) to EE customers, which could be swapped when empty, free of charge, in store for a full one? If you were lucky enough to get your hands on one - we have bad news. They are being recalled as they could pose a fire safety risk. You will get a £20 accessory voucher for your trouble though.
