Google have added a night-reading mode to their Play Books app on Android (and iOS), called 'Night Light'. When enabled, the feature gradually filters blue light from your screen, replacing it with a warm, amber light as the sun sets. Night Light automatically adapts to the amount of natural sunlight outside based on the time of day at your location. This should reduce strain on your eyes, particularly before you go to sleep, so it's definitely a good thing. The problem? We actually REALLY want a proper e-ink reader.
Do you remember that earlier this year, EE were handing out free 'power bars' (cylindrical battery packs) to EE customers, which could be swapped when empty, free of charge, in store for a full one? If so, you should ensure you've registered for 'The Golden Ticket' promotion before a winner is chosen on 21st December, to be in with a chance to win an amazing bundle of prizes from Honor partners Parrot & JBL - for five years!
There's been a lot of noise made about ad-blocking in recent months, due to the recent inclusion on iOS of features specifically designed to enable 3rd party blockers. On Android however, options are more limited - without root, it's tough to block ads system wide, the only option being a VPN based service. One such service - and a free option too - is Adguard.
