Amazon launches 'Kindle Daily Deal' in the UK, Android readers included

Amazon have launched their new 'Kindle Daily Deal' intiative in the UK, which is of course also compatible with the Android Kindle application!

The new daily deal offers a Kindle book for a much reduced price for a period of 24 hours, after which it is replaced. At the time of writing for example, the deal is 'Where the Shadows Lie' for a bargain price of £0.99 (down from £3.99). A nice cheap way to fill out your reading library no question...

Each day we will unveil one book in the Kindle Daily Deal at a specially discounted price--for that day only. Deals go live at midnight and ends 23:59 the same day. Be sure to bookmark this page or follow us on Twitter or Facebook to ensure you don't miss any of the featured deals. The Kindle Daily Deal discount shown is the saving from the previous day's Kindle Price. Terms and Conditions apply.

"Kindle Daily Deal" Terms and Conditions

  • The Kindle Daily Deal promotion applies to a selected Kindle title and runs each day from 00:00 to 23:59 (the "Promotional Period").
  • During the Promotional Period, you can purchase the Kindle title identified as the Kindle Daily Deal (each a "Qualifying Item") with the indicated discount, at the Kindle Daily Deal Price (the ‚ÄúOffer‚ÄĚ).
  • Offer may be changed or withdrawn without notice by Amazon.co.uk and has no cash alternative.
  • You must complete your purchase of the Qualifying Item during the Promotional Period in order to receive the indicated discount.
  • Offer only applies to Kindle titles purchased from Amazon.co.uk on the website http://www.amazon.co.uk. It does not apply to purchases made from Amazon.com, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, Amazon.it, Amazon.co.jp, Amazon.ca or Amazon.es.
  • Normal Amazon.co.uk terms and conditions for using the Amazon.co.uk website apply. If you have any enquiries please contact us using our online e-mail form.

Head on over to the Kindle Daily Deal page to learn more! A US Kindle Daily Deal has been running for a little while now and of course also supports devices from outside the US, so that might be worth checking out too.
