BBC News App For Android Now Supports Tablets - Still No Proper iPlayer App...

The official BBC News app for Android has just been updated to include support for tablets running Android 3.0 and higher (Honeycomb and ICS). Here at MoDaCo Towers we installed the app on our trusty Android tablet (an Archos 80 G9). We're impressed by how well the app uses the extra screen real estate and the speedier refresh of articles.

After congratulating the catchily named "Media Applications Technologies for the BBC" team on this useful release of the BBC app, we will now continue waiting for an iPlayer app optimized for Android tablets...
