If the 820 is this much, what will the 920 be like. Crazy expensive

Too much monies!
Hey Microsoft! Wanna get the world using your cute little phones and mobile OS? Why not launch a really really competent (if not too flashy) WP8 phone at a really low price point, by way of a loss leader, get us all hooked and take it from there?
Or else price your way out of the market and never get a foot in the door with punters.
WP8 seems to do a lot with fairly low end specs, so why are you charging so much for this hardware? It's some way from bleeding edge... (Lumia 820, 480x800 res screen? That's plenty obv, but what are you expecting people to pay the premium for?)

Woah, that is a high price for a very hefty slab of mid-range ordinaryness.

Simply lay your Lumia on a charging plate (wireless charging plate now available for FREE with your order) until you're ready to go.

wireless charger is worth £55,

"wireless charger is worth £55"

Well no that's what they want to charge for it, it's not worth £55

Windows Phone 8 has launched, the SDK is available and Windows Phone 8 devices are about to be released — Microsoft think it’s time to get coding. As an added incentive, for the next 8 days individual developers can register for a Dev Center account for just $8 (a 92% saving).

Was that lost in a time vortex?
