Nokia release Lumia 710

Nokia have announced the release of the Lumia 710, running Windows Phone 7.5 Mango.

Compared to the Lumia 800, the 710 is a midrange offering with a 3.7" display, 1.4GHz Qualcomm CPU, 512MB RAM, a 5MP camera with LED Flash and 720p Video recording. As Microsoft don't typically allow the use of external storage there is no MicroSD slot, which leaves the device stuck at 8GB. It also requires a Micro SIM.

Like many other midrange Nokia phones, the handset features interchangeable covers which are available separately. Nokia are also pushing 2 different sets of 'Premium' headphones made in conjunction with Monster. I expect this means the included headphones are a slightly lower grade

The handset went on sale today in Taiwan today and will roll out over the next week in Singapore, India, Russia and Hong Kong, before heading to Europe. Nokia have listed the phone at a price of €270 which equates to around £230.

Specifications can be found here
