At IFA in Berlin, Samsung has lifted the curtain on it's first Windows Phone 8 device, the ATIV S - the first of many Windows Phone 8 devices that will be arriving this year.
Contained within the thin 8.7mm brushed aluminum chassis is a 1.5Ghz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and an 8MP autofocus rear camera and 1.9MP front-facing camera - plus a huge 4.8” HD Super AMOLED display made from Corning Gorilla Glass 2.
It will ship with either 16Gb or 32GB internal memory and both versions will have a MicroSD slot for expanded storage. A 2300mAh battery should keep the device running all day.
We will keep you updated on availability closer to the Windows Phone 8 launch date, which is rumoured to be the 29th October 2012.
