Windows Phone 7 Bargains

With Windows Phone 8 devices launching soon, many sellers of Windows Phone 7/7.5 devices are offering their devices at bargain prices. Here's MoDaCo's round up of the current best bargains.

ZTE Tania from Virgin Media @ £99.99

The ZTE Tania is a 4.3" screen Windows Phone 7.5 device. The hardware is very, very similar to the Android equipped ZTE Skate. It has limited storage (4GB) but 512MB of RAM so it is a much better deal than the 256 RAM toting Nokia Lumia 610.

This deal is sweetened by Virgin Media offering 12 months of free data for PAYG handsets.

HTC Mozart from Phones 4 U @ £99.95

This is a first generation Windows Phone device with 8GB storage and 512MB of RAM. Updatable to Windows Phone 7.5, the highlight of this handset is the 8MP camera capable of recording video in 720p.

When bought from Phones 4 U you get the choice of network operator to go with (O2, Vodafone, T-Mobile & Orange) and have to top up £10.

Nokia Lumia 710 from Carphone Warehouse @ £99.95

This is Nokia's budget Windows Phone device from before the days of the Lumia 610. The Lumia 710 packs the same 1.4 GHz processor and chipset as the flagship Lumia 800, 8GB storage and exchangeable xpress-on covers.

A mandatory £10 topup also applies to this device.

The Mozart is also unlocked if you buy it from P4U. Also there is an offer in-store where you can trade in any smartphone to get the Mozart for £60. Someone told me about it on Twitter.

Another great deal is the Nokia Lumia 800 on a 24month Talk Mobile contract for £12 a month with 500MB data allowance.

@flibblesan Wow! I'm going to enquire about that trade in for the Mozart at £60. I have an old Alcatel Android slider which would be a good trade in...
