I have the same issue as you. I was not able to find out why, but build 8 is slow on my phone. Plus there is freez after waking the phone (I am not using lockscreen). Big apps are extremely slow.
In build 7, I had only (diferent, not so bad) freez after waking up phone.
I have found a workaround - using boot.img from build 7. Phone is fast, and never freez. But it has one problem, Iam working on it now - Wifi does not work.
I am to so familiar with compiling kernel for phone - but (I think) - if wifi was compiled into the kernel in build 8 and as module in kernel from build 7, kernel from build 7 is expecting wifi module. And module is not there because it is not in version 8 ofcourse. But I am not sure about this. Maybe someone could help me out? How about from retired developer? That would be the fastest. :)
I was able to make wifi working. Since I do not know (and I was not able to find out) where is (or what is the name of) missing/broken wifi component, I have copied over contents of /system/lib from version 7. I have to say, phone is as fast as never before (and with working wifi).
I have to test it in real life, but so far it looks good. If someone is interested, I can upload boot.img and /system/lib from build 7.
I had problem with systemUI (forceclose) in build 8 (and in build 7.8) (clear installation, not upgrade from older version). I had solved this by replacing systemui.apk (/system/app/systemui.apk) from build 7 and deleting its data (/data/data/com.android.systemui/*)
This could help someone. Link to systemui.apk from build 7:
Did you use navigation? This happen to my phone when it get overheated in car while using Waze.
I have v7.0 installed . But I have problem with lags after waking the phone. It was unusable until i changed CPU freq to higher one, now usage is limited but I can do something (but it is extremly slow). Unfortunately, I dont have any logs so far. I will update to 7,8 and post logs if bug will occur again.
could you implement higher frequency option to CPU (or ask kra1o5 to do so?). I just discovered that my g300 is pretty stable on 1267MHz, and that is the highes frequency.
V11 is so great... as every vXY from you :) Thank you!
I *think* that it will not be useful, but I would like to test it. If it is big problem, leave it be, it is not important... :P
I did not find any other way. You can use this:
to backup apps and then install other apps (dsp manager...) things from here:
The v11 is out  and with kra1o5's kernel inside.
But I dont know Spanish, and Google's translator can't make it readable for my native (Czech) language... So, I Don't know any details, there is something with GB/ICS/Baseband going on but I don't know what exactly.
Hi, There is new kernel on spanish page and it looks like there will be v11 of ROM one day too.
Something for someone new to this nice ROM:
-Dont play with v6 supercharger, as this rom is tuned very good.
-Dont use Supremacy Trilogy script on this rom. Look what is inside. Half is not working or has to be configured and half will make mess (and phone to perform slower). Something will not even work with our phone. Study what is inside and than you can make your own script. Again, dont use this!
Init.d (needed for scripting):
Clear slim rom (without OC kernel, v10) does not support this. You have to use OC kernel (from original Spanish page OR form here, use new kra1o5's kernel, not Paul's
) OR you can add init.d support to ROM by: Opening this page http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1933849 Downloading zip-init to sd-card Installing busybox to xbin (NOT to bin) Do all steps in troubleshooting (I think 4h post) delete install-recovery.sh flash zip-init.zip Init.d should be working now
Init.d cannot be activated by pimpmyrom/uniinit, zip-init or term-init without steps above. (even that pimpmyrom/uniinit will tell you that it is working). You should have test.log in /data/ folder, but only if you have 00test script in /system/etc/init.d folder
To kernels: Paul's kernel makes things slower, with overclocking you have same speed as without his kernel (and add instant init.d support among other things). (New) Kra1o5's kernel should be faster, is created from Paul's kernel and I did not test it further.
I found out that init.d is not enabled [i did not install pauls kernel. Iam using clean install of slim rom.]
Using this I have got init.d support [olny zip method worked for me, Terminit, uniinit or PimpMyRom were not working. PimpMyRom/Uniinit were saying it is working, but that was not true] :
You can check if is your init.d working properly by looking to /data/ folder. There should be file "test.log". If it is not there, you dont have working init.d functionality.
Rom is really great, much better than CM from Daz and I did not find any bug.
Iam using Supremacy Trilogy V3 (with init.d enabled, ofcourse) and without pauls kernel - Bigger FQ looks cool but phone is slower on 1GHz than with stock kernel, so why take something slow to overclock phone and make it same fast as it was without it...
I have found these bugs: DSP Manager is working olny with internal music Apollo app. It is NOT working with other apps (like internet radios - di.fm, sky.fm...) - tested with speaker, I will test headset today, but I think it will be the same bug. Only sometimes it freezes after pushing unlock button (HW buttons are shining and screen is blank/dark). After few seconds lock screen show up. (There is no andorid animation after un-freezing.) I think it is because of Overclock. Diode - when charging, it is OK, works great, colors are different. But when sms comes, it is making pink color (I think it is trying to do white color). Settings in CM are not working, still pink. Settings of blinking frequency of light are working, colour is not.
No 3G reboot, in fact, it has not reboot itself so far.
One Q: What is with h264 HW support? Is it working? Tested it today, but it was laggy. But maybe I used file of too big quality (45minutes, 1GB, resolution 1280x720, there is no bitrate showed in VLC)
