Since the last few Play Services updates, there is a problem with "no Deep Sleep" because of "SystemUpdateService". SystemUpdateService is disabled in nearly every Custom Rom and if disabled, Phone doesn´t go into DeepSleep (for me and many others, you can Google this issue, even it´s disabled it´s causing a permanent wakelock). If I enable "SystemUpdateService" once after booting (with App "Disable Service"), all is ok again, but after Reboot, Service is disabled again and Phone won´t go into DeepSleep as it was before.
Is there a workaround possible, any change possible for enabling SystemUpdateService while/after boot automatically?
Using LS-KK-v3.2-2014-09-18 and Kernel 3.4.105 from Mar 12 2015...
For me, most of time DeepSleep is excellent. But sometimes it happens that Accu drains very fast. I´ve found the reason today, I have the problem, in this case phone doesnt detect disconnect from charger anymore and so CPU doesnt go into DeepSleep, allways stays at min 51 MHz (and have muic_lock-wakelock all the time). In "System settings / Accu" info then shows charging although charger isnt connected anymore. After reboot, it works again as suspected for a while, cant say what´s the reason for reappearing of the issue after a while.
Any suggestion what could be the reason, what to clear/reset or what settings to change? Anyone having same issue?
Tried it also and had the same problems, battery dropped in flight mode in 5 hours about 30%. AnTutu was not better and booting was equal slow (for me, allways about 2 minutes) as with Mourtas LS. No improvement at all...
Ok, but to be sure, is there really a known issue with xposed? I didn´t state there is an issue, I quote from another poster, which has written, there would be an issue with xposed. Is there really a problem, nobody else use xposed framework with this kernel/rom combination?
Dalvik, and I think, I can decide for myself, if I need Greenify or not. I have 6 phones and tablets and be sure, it makes a difference for battery and traffic, if I use Greenify or not (donate version with GCM-Push for Apps like whatsapp, viber, threema and so on, they dont need to run and I still get my messages in real time).
I´m using this kernel together with LiquidSmooth Rom since the day Mourta posted the Rom here on MoDaCo.
I tried all versions of his kernels and updates of Rom, but with all versions, I have very slow boot (about 30 times on/off boot animation before Desktop appears and another 2 Minutes until Launcher has started all Apps, Widgets and Icons.
If I use more Apps and dont kill them allways after using, P880 lags more and more until there are 5 seconds and more without reaction. Tried other kernel versions (even Iodak V10-CM) but it seems Rom related?!
What Rom´s do you prefer, who uses another Rom with this kernel(s) without lagging? I would like to try some other Roms (e.q. vanir 4.4.), cause in this form, the phone is not really smooth and fast (only after Boot and without using more Apps at the the time).
Before you tell me "factory reset and install again", I did a factory reset and a complete new install after changing from Vanir 4.3.1 to LiquidSmooth, so I dont think, thats the problem. Some wrote, xposed may be a problem, but I need xposed for Greenify and some other modules, so if thats the problem, I need a Rom, which dont have this problem.
Which tool/App to use for checking GPU Freqs?
I have also a bad AnTuTu 3D Benchmark and I use "Force GPU for 2D", but I have massive lags after phone is running for a while. So I would like to test, cause I`m thinking, my GPU doesnt perform like it should,
If done that 4 months ago (using Note 3 as daily driver now), but I asked other users for their settings of GPU-Rendering or settings which make their phones smooth (I read allways in this thread how smooth and fast it would be, but mine isn´t really smooth and fast with liquid rom and this kernel),asked if other people using these options or not. I would rather like to get an aswer but such "clever tipps"...
Please give me one more information:
Many of you shared already their setting for governor, scheduler and SD-Card. But I would like to know, what settings you use for GPU-Rendering? If I don´t check that option in developer options, scrolling in many Apps is really not smooth! If I set this option, I think GPU is allways used and will drain more battery, but scrolling is much more smooth.
Same for me with governor, with conservative scrolling is smoother than with all the other governors (but may be more drain of battery than with recommended absyplugV2).
I like a smooth phone, may be it´s more important for me than better Screen On Time, but I´m searching for best setting for all needs, battery friendly and fast and smooth...
May be ur right. I disabled Location service some hours ago and now it seems 98% DeepSleep in Flight-Mode again. NLP-Wakelocks are also location related, I think, so may be that´s the right direction. Will test a bit more...
Sorry, may be it was false declaration of an issue, "baseband-xmm-power" wakelock occurs with all kernels in Flight-Mode (???). As I dont use my LG 4X HD for a while and set it allways to Flight-Mode, I´m sure there was DeepSleep while being in Flight-Mode at 98%. What´s now causing the wakelock and a max. DeepSleep at 90-92% in Flight-Mode, I dont know. May be new Rom (Liquid, was an Vanir 4.3.1 before) and some Apps? Will search for it when I have more time...
I´m using the new version (14-08-01) since a few days, but I doesnt use my phone a lot, cause I have a new Note 3 as daily driver.
So I set my "old" LG 4X HD most of the time in Flight-Mode to save battery while not using.
With new version of kernel, I have only 90-92% DeepSleep in Flight-Mode (allways reset CPU-Spy/BBS when enabling Flight-Mode), normally its about 98-99%. I tried for 3 days with 3 reboots, allways 90-92%. With BBS I could see Top-Wakelock with 5-6% is "Baseband-xmm-power" (???), but I´m in Flight-Mode, there shouldn´t be wakelocks for mobile data!!!
Installed older version of Mourta-Kernel from 14-07-22 today, and after 2 hours in DeepSleep its back on 98,6%. No "Baseband-xmm-power" wakelock appeared.
Edit: I was wrong, even with older version from 14-07-22 I got "baseband-xmm-power" in Flight-Mode after turning on mobile data and aftwords turning Flight-Mode on. Trying now Iodak_V10-CM...
