  1. I finally got a reply from PC World, they said they are expecting to covers in the new year.. Maybe I'll hold off from ordering from newegg.
  2. Anyone else enjoying the direct stylus? Only tracing a photo but I need to practice :)
  3. Thought I'd make a thread for photos, videos and slow-mo's! One I made of my brother playing GT6 in the ridiculously fast Redbull.. Really quite impressed with how well it did - need a very well lit area though.
  4. I'm looking for these in the UK but no luck! It seems newegg.com sell them so I was going to get a friend to order it for me - just wondering if anyone knows whether these will be stocked by PCWorld? I have emailed them but have yet to get a reply.. The part numbers are, EVGA Tegra NOTE 7 Smart Cover Part Number: M013-00-000032 EVGA Tegra NOTE 7 DirectStylus Pro Part Number: E00B-00-000035 The stylus tips look a lot better and are replaceable.. Thanks!
  5. Picked one up for £99.99, cant fault it at all - really liking the design and features, I've found the pen to be a lot faster and smoother than the S-Pen. I also find the pen to open the launcher randomly so I've just disabled that feature in the settings. There is a rooting post on XDA which I will do tonight, don't really need a custom ROM because this one is so fast!! As the bootloaders unlocked someone on XDA is already working on the Clockwork Recovery. For anyone looking to buy one at £89.99 its incredible value - the screen qaulity is great and I don't see it necessary to have 1080p. If anyone has any questions I'm happy to answer them :) Thought I'd ask, Paul will you be working on this device?
  6. Just wanted to add, it does have the magnet sleep sensor function! This really is a great case.
  7. That's cool :) Glad you liked it. Defiantly imo the best looking case out atm, but for £8.95 you can easily get something else in the future when more cases are out.
  8. So I've just received the case today and here is my mini review. I apologise for the blurry photo's lol First I will point out that I'm not sure whether it is real leather or not, it smells similar but is quite faint - I'd say that is isn't real. Either way I'm not fussed as it was £8.95 and it still looks and feels nice. Some pictures of how it came and what it looks like without the Nexus 7 in. It was very easy to get the Nexus 7 into the case, first I put the right side into the case and gently pushed on the left and it popped straight in. defiantly feels secure. It fits really well and the front flap will protect the screen from any hard objects, As you can see all the ports are exposed, even the microphones have cut outs. You can see the speaker has a cut out, I haven't noticed any difference in volume. If you try to fold the flap behind the device you end up with this, which could be good for typing on the keyboard in landscape. Although if you place pressure on it you can hold it fine in portrait mode. The case is very stable in the 'stand' mode and you can angle it to how you want. Overall I am very happy with the case and I feel that it will defiantly protect the Nexus 7 so I won't really have to worry as much as it being 'naked'. Looks: 8/10 Protection: 7/10 Build Quality: 7/10 Price: 8/10 Where to buy: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190727576764&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:GB:1123#ht_2307wt_1139 Colours: Any questions just ask! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1892017
  9. Nexus 7 case review roundup

Just bought the E-Cell Luxury Leather Case off their eBay shop, will post up a small review when I get it. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190727576764?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_2307wt_962
  10. Has anyone used the Wacom Bamboo Stylus with it? I guess it's similar to most of the cheap ones but I've heard good things about this one and I'd expect it to be a decent feeling stylus for £20-25! Btw has anyone used the app 'Markers' with a stylus? it has the 'pressure' sensitive touch which is taken from how much area of the finger is on the screen. It works perfect with just a finger but I wanted a stylus to actually be able to sketch/draw with it.
  11. From what I read, Paul already has the Xolo X900 ICS rom, but it cannot be flashed to the phone.
  12. Is this of any use? http://www.xolo.in/x...oftware-upgrade Edit - the file is only 10mb  Didn't realise it was only a update, not the full rom, my bad. Could you maybe contact them by email or have you already tried?
  13. Isn't the beep just the noise that is made when pressing the record button to end recording? That should be a easy fix if you can just make the camera silent?
  14. This or Galaxy Nexus - genuine question!

I don't own a San Diego but my brother has a Galaxy Nexus - the screen is amazing (1280x720), the camera takes pretty decent pictures for a camera phone, the shutter speed is good too, not much lag between it really. His battery easily lasts a day of usage and if he uses it sparingly he can get two days of decent usage - odd text/call, internet, games, camera.. The San Diego is a good choice if you want to save some money on the purchase as I'm sure it would be perfectly adequate for what your after as from looking at some reviews it is a pretty fast phone compared to the high end manufacturers, the camera seems fast in the reviews but it's not the best quality one. Here is a good review of the same phone, just different branding and look. http://www.anandtech.com/show/5770/lava-xolo-x900-review-the-first-intel-medfield-phone
  15. Thanks for the reply, Thinking about what you've said, I think I'll wait out until there is root - would only want a custom rom to be a stock version of android really, don't really like the orange-fied roms. It does seem like a great upgrade as it has a larger screen and resolution, faster cpu + gpu?, more ram and a better camera (it seems :)) Thanks again though.
