  2. Alpha 3 Update added to first post.
  3. RapiDroid Alpha 3 Half a year after I bought a Defy+, I made my first ROM. :) As I used to did with the Omnia 2 ROMs, I made this one for myself also, but I share with the community, because I'm such a nice guy. :D If you want, you can give me advices or ideas. The base of this ROM is the official DFP-231 rooted Gingerbread ROM. I removed some stuff and added apps and features what I missed from the official one. The ROM is a smooth and relatively fast ROM with additional features. I don't want to change the World with this ROM and it's not a competitor of the big ones (CM, MS2G, etc.) either. It's mainly created for speed and battery saving. Language support: EN, DE, GR, ES, FR, HU, IT, NL, PL Removed: The ROM is ~90% "DeBlurred". Some apps stayed, like BlurEmail, Youtube, etc. Google Quick Search Bar All types of "social" stuff (Facebook, MySpace, Yahoo...) Swype (so you can install a newer version) Added: Notification Toggle Blur Music is removed and instead separate Blur apps added to music and FM Radio V6 SuperCharge Update 9 RC9 720p video and panorama Deep Sleep support USB modem support JPEG compression is 100% (for better pics) Keyboard backlight fix (Brightness can be set here: system/etc/init.d/08backlight) MMCFix (SDcard handling issues) All WiFi channels are enabled callrecording support (you can use any callrecording app) Moto Home swicthed to Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc Launcher ClockworkMod Custom Recovery (2ndInit Recovery) 10 fingers multitouch support Reboot option added to power menu Di.fm app FlashLight Newest (19.09.2012) Gmail, Google Maps, Google Play, Youtube and SuperUser apps The ROM is deodexed, so themes are supported! Download USE 7-ZIP TO UNPACK! WINRAR DOESN'T WORK! Alpha 3 Update (21.09.2012) [*]Contacts crash fixed [*]Bravia Engine - Demonstration video [*]Internet Speed Tweak [*]Battery Life Tweak [*]Defrag Database Tweak [*]ClearLog Tweak [*]No Normalized Sleep Tweak [*]Overclock modules added, but its not working yet [*]Hungarian language added to Usb.apk, because that was missed :) Alpha_3_Update.zip Install at your own risk. The creator of the ROM and the owners of this forum are not responsible for any possible problem related to this ROM.
  4. hey rapid, realy enjoy your ROMs, figure now I have a proper job it's time for me to donate! unsure how to send you some beer money with paypal, let me know, thanks!

What you can modify: The resolution (not the exact one, but alignments and sizes) Rows and cols of the appdrawer Rows and cols number of the desktop/home Open and closed radius of the corners The align of the icons in the corners First, dump the SE_Arc_Home.apk with APKTool. After that, try it out.
  6. When I was thinking on what device I should buy, I vacillated between the Sony Ericsson Xperia Active and the Defy+. I liked the UI of the Active, but I decided to buy the Defy. However I determined myself I'll use the Active's Launcher, no matter what. :) I know there's a lot of Xperia Arc Launcher out there (same as the Active's), but all is the same version (2.0.A.0.22) and all was modified somehow what I don't need. So, I decided to port the newest Launcher without any major modifications. I grabbed the latest firmware of the Xperia Arc (4.0.2.A.0.62), and torn it to pieces. Disassembled the Launcher and modified it to work on any WVGA (480x854) resolution Android devices. And when I was in there, in the firmware, I extracted some of the widgets too. The Launcher (Ver: 2.1.A.0.10): The Launcher is not modified. I only changed some settings to make the corners appears on this resolution and corrected the alignings. So, it has 4x4 appdrawer and 5 pages, like the original. You can modify these settings if you unpack the apk and change some values in some xml files. I'll make a Howto to it soon. This is only tested on WVGA (480x854) device. If you want to try it out or it's not working on your resolution, I'll glad to help. There's two way to install it: With simple installation, by running the apk. After that, you need to copy the 2 other files to \system, otherwise the "Share" option will not work and you'll face with FCs. You'll need root to do that and you need to reboot after copied the files!!!With the Update.zip from the bootloader. Widgets: 2 kind of Digital Clock widgetsMedia widget2 kind of Switch widgetsCalendar widgetFavourites and Call Log widgetWorld Clock widget Downloads:Launcher - installerLauncher - Update.zip - Updated (17.04.2012)Widgets Theres' some widgets I could not make to work: [*]Photos and Videos widget[*]Music widget[*]Weather widget[*]The Theme Selector of the Launcher I made The Photos and Videos widget installable, but it's not usable, because it has some problems with the Advanced Widget Framework of the Launcher. Someone needs to check it. It's inside the apk of the Launcher (\smali\com\sonyericsson\advancedwidget\framework\). The Music and the Weather widgets are not installable. I could not figure out the problem. I could not start the Theme Selector of the Launcher either. The needed files are in the compressed file too. If someone has a little bit of free time and the necessary knowledge, it's possible to make it work. :) Download: Non-working widgets Screenshots:
  7. 720p video recording on defy

Check here. It worked for me on my Defy+.
  8. The phone is not vibrating. No vibration at all. Anyone have the same problem? NVM, I did not know it has an option in the cyanogen settings. :)

The third is really good. Can you share the font's names?
  10. O2Droid Bootanimations

Show me a good one and I'll see, because I could not found any. :)

There's no official color of Android. The text is white somewhere, green somewhere else, grey on other place and another color on another place. And I did not say anything about official color anywhere. And I cannot create 10 million variations of the animation to please everyone. :) Only thing I can say is that I'll release the .fla (the flash animation) file of the winner and everyone can modify the color of it. Is this good enough? :)

The "o" is round because it's from the logo of Omnia 2, just a little more bold.
