  1. We're giving away a RaspberryPi!

New xbmc project here I come!
  2. This is great! Loved the re-added deckly support. Is there a way to make it store its cache on the sdcard instead of the internal memory? It's eating greedily from my limited Desire mem. I wipe it every so often, but a hack to make it use a subfolder on the card would be nice. (I had a look at apktool and it sure is confusing)
  3. maps.brut17 is officially out now, and is stockified by default. It is based on maps v4.6.0. There is also a [brut] tagged version there, but the stockified version seems to work best. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=630887 Something for the next iteration of the kitchen I think.
  4. Thanks, this looks like it will do the trick. I'll have a crack at it in the morning.
  5. Didn't work. I have a sneaky suspicion that my small cache part. is to blame. Using AlphaRev data++ at the moment. Where is the dalvik cache placed if I disable app2sd? Data or cache part? I looked at the dalvik script and it was a bit confusing. The description in the header seemed to indicate it being moved from cache to data, and the actual script the opposite. I guess I shouldn't mess with this stuff at 4am. What it boils down to is: Will the data++ hboot work with r9 or do I need to use one with a bigger cache part? The one they have specially for sense roms have a 90mb cache part, and that just seems excessive.
  6. I've been playing around with resizing the partitions. I'm currently using app2sd and I want to try without it for a bit. I'm wondering if I can just delete the 40a2sd file from init.d to disable it? Are there other stuff going on that I need to be aware of? I know I can just bake a new one, but this just seemed so much easier...
  7. Questions about S-OFF

Fake flash works just fine with AlphaRev. Just tried with AlphaRev 1.5 and an old version of clockworkmod, just to be sure it didn't use my new permanent recovery.
  8. Not sure what you mean, but I use this widget to block the headset control buttons. Sometimes my old headphones will make the music pause or skip, and this will block that. Very useful to me, perhaps it could help? http://www.appbrain.com/app/headset-blocke....headsetblocker
  9. Flashed it in VMware under Win7. Stuck waiting for step 3 to complete for 15 minutes. Just the white HTC screen. Crossed my fingers and pulled the battery in the end. Was greeted with the Joker, booted up just fine :)
  10. MCR r8 development archive

I think there might be a bug in in the CarPanel app. If you use it to access maps, and press back, it will go back to CarPanel and automatically close it. It might not happen the first time, but try again, it will happen every time from then on. Pressing the home button to return to CarPanel works fine. (It happens here anyway :D ) The old CarPanel I've used with brut is ok, but I'd rather have the new one if possible. Anyone else notice this?
  11. HTC Desire HD Caught on Video

I actually like the headphone socket there. That way you don't have to flip the phone around before putting it in your front pocket.
  12. You are using the old baseband radio. You need version 5 or later for froyo. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=687464
  13. MCR r5 archive

Just press the back button to minimize the keyboard.
  14. MCR r5 archive

Tried updating from r3.1 to r4 just now without wipe. Seems to have gone surprisingly fine. A joy so far.
  15. MCR r5 archive

I just noticed Maps is put on system partition. Won't that make updating it later a bit of a hassle? It's one of the Google apps that get frequent updates.
