  1. Do you know if they have implemented a historical temperature log? I love this idea, but what I'd also like to do is see the history of the room temperature as well. Other than buying an expensive data logger, this seems the ideal tool for the job as well as controlling the heating!
  2. HTC One: This is not the Sense you love to hate

Thanks Paul, Comprehensive and useful as always. I think I'm defiantly leaning towards the HTC one and not the S4. Your information is defiantly helping! :) John
  3. EE announce 4G LTE tariffs - hilarity ensues

Far far too expensive... And after looking at their FTTC costs, they've even priced themselves out of that market too; Plus.net, Sky and TalkTalk are all cheaper!! I've been on Orange since 1998... I think its time for a change!!
  4. Hi Paul, Just letting you know that I noticed there was duplicate files in a Framework.sign folder within the Framework folder. Not a bug, but will help keep things clean and confusion free :) John.
  5. Time to test! :) (If my ISP doesn't keep disconnecting me... )
  6. OK, building on what I've put above, I've now got Tasker configured to run the script at Device boot using the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...amp;postcount=6 But I often find that the External SD seems to get dropped. The icon in the Notify area disappears. Does anyone else find this?
  7. Hey Paul, Apologies for my lack of knowledge on the finer points of the Android OS but... As I'm sure you're aware, a solution has been found to Bind a folder to the External SD Card. cd /mnt/sdcard mkdir fssd mount -o bind /Removable/SD /mnt/sdcard/fssd[/codebox] This was posted by korora The problem with this is that when the SD Card is removed, the link breaks, and the mount command has to be re-run. I've been looking at system logs, and it appears that there is an action called: android:intent.action.EPAD_EXTERNAL_MEDIA_MOUNTED There are also a few calls like onExternalStorageStateChanged and doMountVolume Is there a way within the Custom Kernel to have the script run to mount the SD card when any of these actions take place? I've looked into Tasker but the Mount event that it uses doesn't seem to fire when the SD Card is mounted. Cheers, John
  8. As Always, a sterling job Paul! My only question is over the Keyboard. Is it me being stupid, or do I have to do something to get the keyboard to be UK? At the moment the @ is on the 2 key which is the US layout, but my keyboard is the UK keyboard. I'm on Hr7 through the Kitchen. Cheers, John
  9. Getting Google Music (here's what I did)

It took a while for the music app to register the Music Beta. keep it running for an hour and see if it picks up on it. If not, clear its data and reboot, leaving it running again for a while and you'll get a prompt to allow access to Google Music.
  10. Getting Google Music (here's what I did)

    My transformer.
  11. Getting Google Music (here's what I did)

Thanks Paul! Great tips as always. And... less than an hour after sending my request... I've got my invite! Woohoo! :P Uploading 9,000 tracks!
  12. What do I need to do to get the UK keyboard to map correctly? I've found the files on the device that control what character each key represents, but I'm hoping I don't have to manually edit them all!
  13. Looks like some has post the new ota Update. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1078286 Might be quicker than waiting on that PM you sent Paul.
  14. Where from? Expensive I know, but I really want a second cable for travelling. Cheers,
  15. Damn it for using my home address for delivery... I'll see if I've a Sorry you were out card when I get home! Then a trip to the UPS depo for me!
