  1. [JB][4.2.2] PAC Milestone 1 RC1 [05/08/13]

Oh. Now I do feel thick. I did a search and had no luck. Having one of those weeks. Thanks ever so much 'Socks :)
  2. [JB][4.2.2] PAC Milestone 1 RC1 [05/08/13]

Hey all. I installed this rom last night and gotta say, it looks really good. I've just a couple of questions though. So, listenening to music on the headphones, when I got a message with the message volumes turned up, it stoped my radio from working. When I did get it running again the volume was all out of kilter. A reboot and putting the ringtone/notifications on silent did away with this (not ideal, but a work around :)). But, my other question here is, how can I sent my own ringtone for incoming calls? MY SD card is visible, I can see the rinftones when I look in apollo, but in setting --> sound --> Phone Ringtone --> I can't see anyway to import a rington from my sd card. Am I just being uber thick here?
  3. Hey everyone. Now, I could just be being a bit thick, but I upgraded via OTA last week to version 10.1-20130402-EXPERIMENTAL-u8815-R3. All is going fine and dandy except when I go to choose a ring tone from my SD card, none can be found. All I am presented with are the system ringtones. Equally, when I launch Apollo, I can find a way to tell it to go check my SD card for tunes. Am I doing something wrong?
  4. [JB] [4.2.2] CyanogenMod 10.1 [ROM]

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!! ROM is on, installed and running. Man - I love MoDaCo <3
  5. [JB] [4.2.2] CyanogenMod 10.1 [ROM]

OK - so on closer inspections I downloaded the gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip from the http://huaweig300.com/huawei-g300-install-a-custom-jelly-bean-ics-rom-from-scratch/install-the-custom-rom/ instructions. Right - Let's try getting the right one this time and trying again ..... #muppett
  6. [JB] [4.2.2] CyanogenMod 10.1 [ROM]

Bugger it! Stuck in a loop of 'process com.google.proccess.gapps has stopped' and 'set up wizard has stopped' Will try reloading the ROM & gapps thingy again ...... :(
  7. [JB] [4.2.2] CyanogenMod 10.1 [ROM]

I have taken the plunge - CM10.1 installed. Just waiting for it to boot up now. Stuck on the Huawei splash screen but I'll give it another 5 minutes before I start to panic LOL :)
  8. [JB] [4.2.2] CyanogenMod 10.1 [ROM]

Colossae3.23 - THANK YOU!!! I had got myself in a bit of a pickle - really glad I asked now. I'll get rid of R6 and go get me the r2 ROM. Thanks again - you're AWESOME! :)
  9. [JB] [4.2.2] CyanogenMod 10.1 [ROM]

OK - I may be being really, really thick here - but, I have been to http://getcm.thebronasium.com/?device=u8815&type= and am not 100% sure which I shold be down loading to upgrade my device to CM10.1. I down loaded cm-10-20130217-EXPERIMENTAL-u8815-R6.zip to my desktop but then saw talk of R2 being more stable etc. I'm being thick aren't I ......
  10. Which ROM should I install??

Thank you all so much for your input. I'm so hacked off with the stock ROM since the Vodafone update a couple of months ago. I'll give CM10.1 a whirl I think as everyone says that's a good day to day stable one :)
  11. Hi all, After owning a San Fran and tinckering with that loading on a few different ROMS, I now have a G300 which is unlocked and rooted. So, my questions is, what do you all recommend as the bestest, stable, don't scare me too much when installing ROM? I'm having a few issues at the moment on the stock ICS ROM where the SD card insists on unmounting every so ofter each day and then the phone decides to reboot randomly too. I'm hoping that changing it to one of the ROMS from MoDaCo will put a stop to all these phone turny-offy shenanagans :)
  12. Morning all. I upgraded my San Fran to Moldovan Mile-High-Mountain-Pie a few weeks ago and all in all, I'm pretty pleased with it apart from ..... Whilst listening to the FM Radio, if I get a text message, it stops all the sound from the radio and I have to switch it off and back on. I also had a message come through whilst I was on a call the other day (to a call centre!) which just killed the call stone dead. I'm not sure if it was an email or a text TBH cos I was a bit cross by then LOL Anyone got any ideas or should I just upgrade to a different ROM (one hopefully carrying an FM radio with RDS like the one I had on my Froyo ROM) OR, should I think about ditching my little ZTE and upgrading to a different handset? Again, any recomendations would be welcome :)
  13. Thanks Agpoli - that looks like it might be the one. I have downloaded it and will compare to Him-in-Doors' phone when I get home tonight. :)
  14. Afternoon all. Quick question. I just upgraded to moldovan mile-high-mountain-pie from flb-froyo-blade-r10b. I loved the task manager in the old rom (froyo) and wondered if anyone on here might know where I could get it and download it from. I'm not getting on at all well with the one the Rom developer popped on MHMP (rhmsoft.com Task Manager I think). My husband is still running on the Froyo rom so I did take a look on there to see if I could get any details about the task manager - but there's nothing :( Any ideas peeps? Thanks
  15. Thanks for your reply Rob. I wanted to stick him on the same rom as I am using for continuity and so I can iron out any problems (I struggled to get giffgaff sms & mms working when I upgraded last year and it was a bit of a faff), but perhaps I should upgrade myself to 2.3 and then bring him up on on the same. oooh - decisions, decisions!! LOL :P
