  1. Globally, from one version of GCC to another, some warnings in the previous becomes errors by default in the new version (that was true from 4.6 to 4.7, and true for 4.7 ti 4.8 and so on) This is because some bad C code are no longer acceptable (becomes deprecated) for the new optimizations implemented in the new GCC version. So you have 2 options : - Fix the code and refactor it to make it clean (lots of work) - Add some GCC compilation flags in Makefiles/.mk like suggest Spacecaker in order to transforms theses errors into warning like in GCC 4.7 (this will compile, but you have a risk of bad execution because some parts of your code is now deprecated)
  2. Personally, I went on another phone, so I no longer dev on the S500 for now. But if I find a little time for my next vacation, I will try to look at it again (or maybe look at MIUI V5 as Spacecaker asked me :P)
  3. Hi, Juste saw all your message landco1, you should discuss about the A510/A511 on the original topic on XDA Here we are on the S500 phone topic :) Thanks.
  4. You have to install drivers for ADB mode & Fastboot Mode (différent from MTP with is "universal")
  5. You might try this: But as said by the others guy, for complete System backup, you need to be root and use an app like Titanium
  6. Connect a USB Key on your phone that will be automatically mounted (so you will be able to browse your USB key from your phone)
  7. Hum that's weird, I have eabi-4.4.3 in prebuilt too (but eabi-4.6 or 4.7 in prebuilts) If needed : $ md5sum prebuilt/linux-x86/toolchain/arm-eabi-4.4.3/bin/arm-eabi-ld 0b28f987367e2c50fda780a7662bf6fb prebuilt/linux-x86/toolchain/arm-eabi-4.4.3/bin/arm-eabi-ld (maybe your file is corrupted ?)
  8. You should use arm-eabi-4.6
  9. Grkai, about Git/Github, don't hesitate to ask me via acerclub or Talk, I will help you ;)
  10. Glad to see my command line helped to pack your Kernel ;)
  11. My MIUI port is based on CM v7 has mentionned in First Post I will look at your modified sources to try a new compile of 7comp (but didn't have many time for now)
  12. Nice, can you list which libs have been updated to fix headphones ? Maybe you can post an update for 7comp & MIUI with thix fixes :)
  13. Be sure to enable ADB in the build.prop And yes, hope your Kernel boot, ADB starts after the Kernel Or you can try to add some shell script in init.d / init.rc to dump dmesg in /sdcard/ for example
  14. Yes, you might try 7comp, it includes Paranoid features (4.1)
  15. If you can access fastboot, you can boot on CWM from your pc, something like fastboot boot C:\CWM.img And from here, you can restore a backup, flash another zip, make wipes, etc...
