  1. Just installed this and my home button isn't working. I have to use the back button to get back to the home screen. Anyone else getting this or know a fix? Edit: Fixed it by wiping the system under Advanced Wipe in TWRP.
  2. I tried installing the latest 18.1 ROM several times late last night, but I am getting constant reboots. I installed the 210MB system partition TPT from here http://www.amphoras.co.uk/downloads/blade-tpts and then updated to the latest Clockworkmod v4 before cleaning everything according to the first post on this thread and then installing the ROM and Gapps. Any idea what I might be doing wrong? I have installed ROMs many times in the past, so it shouldn't be a rookie error.
  3. Me, too. Just the once. No reaction from any button. Had to pull the battery out and boot it up again.
  4. I had something similar recently and it was the sd-card that was the problem.
  5. Settings >Buttons >Buttons and Layout >Untick "Show navigation bar" then reboot
  6. Part arrived today. No soldering required. Took about 15 minutes to replace. The hardest part of the job was scraping/peeling-off the large paper sticker in the battery compartment to reveal the old flat cable. The new flat cable just stuck on to the adheshive that was left behind and it was simple to flick up the flat-cable connector with my fingernail and flick it back down again to grip the new cable. Microphone now working fine.
  7. The ROM in this thread is for the original ZTE Blade, not the ZTE Blade 3. It would probably be better to ask your question in the Blade 3 forum: http://www.modaco.com/forum/685-zte-blade-3/
  8. I assume that you have managed to source a replacement keypad/mic board, Ashley2010? If not, they are available on ebay for just over a fiver delivered. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281286075299?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 I was going to buy one, but, before I do, I was would like to find out what fitting one would entail. For example, would I have to solder anything or does it all just screw/clip together?. Can you (or anone else) advise?
  9. Managed to repair SD card with minitools and Camera and Browswer work fine now.
  10. Can anyone confirm whather a mounted memory card is needed for Camera and Browswer to work with this ROM? I've installed (and reinstalled) this ROM on two handsets and get the "Unfortunately, Camera has stopped" and "Unfortunately, Browswer has stopped" messages as soon as I try either. Neither handset will boot with the memory card mounted. I think it is faulty and I can't format the sd/ext in CWM. Unfortunately, I don't have a spare memory card to test. Firefox and HD camera ultra work fine.
  11. Gave up on my Blade and I bought myself another one on eBay. It still had the original stock Orange ROM, so I TPT'd it and installed the latest Zeelog KitKat ROM and the very same thing happened! I thought it was too much of a co-incidence for it to happen twice, so I tried booting my original Blade without a memory card inserted and it booted up! Tried the same with the new Blade and it booted up fine, too. I'm guessing that it was a faulty memory card all along. It was the original 2 Gig card that came with the handset. I had created a 1Gig partition a while ago. Anyway, the new Blade seemed to have a slightly different coloured screen (creamy whites rather than blue-tinged whites), so I checked it under a jeweller's loupe and the pixels look different. I think I bought an OLED Blade.
  12. I have somehow managed to soft brick (I think) my Blade when installing the latest CM11 ROM. Not sure how, but it just won't boot. I get the splash screen and then the arrow spins arount the cyongen logo forever. I have tried all the steps 1, 3 and 5 (CWM, TPT and dodgy) win in the first post of the thread and whilst allevery stage went smoothly, I still can't get it to boot. I have tried various TPTs and ROMs and a different battery, but still nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions before I have to buy another Blade? I have a Y300, but I prefer the Blade as my day-to-day phone due to its screen-size and I like trying out the the new ROMs.
  13. Where are you getting this information? 5.5.27 is the latest verison of the YouTube app and works fine for me.
  14. Thanks, zeelog, that's exactly what I had to do. The cLock widget is 3(w)x2(h) by default. I had resized it to 4(w)x3(h) to allow an extra row of icons above the dock. I removed the row of icons and resized the widget to 4(w)x4(h) to make the calendar appear on the Homescreen. Selecting Maximise widgets on lock screen menu allowed the calendar to be displayed on the lockscreen at all times instead of having to enlarge the widget manually on the lockscreen every time. I feel a wee bit silly for not figuring it out sooner.
  15. Sorted now. Not quite sure how, though. I selected Maximise widgets on Lock Screen menu. Removed all other app shortcuts from the Home screen and then dragged the cLock widget from the Homes screen to screen 2 and then back again.
