  1. I too am having a probem with the third one there, the icons in the notifiacations. It seems to some sort of error with the transparency layer of the icons, or similar. Did you find a solution to this?
  2. Right, yup that box is chekced, a tried deleting some junk off that partition and it said it did, but it was still there, I had to plug it in and delete it via windows explorer. I guess it's just how link2sd sets up the partition or whatever. No matter, I'll just use the external SD card.
  3. Is that a setting within Es file manager?
  4. Ahh ok. Maybe that's it, just doesn't work for using as "normal" storage anymore, possibly.
  5. I have a rom, Stock +, using link2sd, so I can use the internal storage for apps etc, I've come across a problem where I used to have doggcatcher download apps to that internal storage, it now gets a "file system error" when it tries to write to that partition. Is that becasue of the link2sd on the rom? I can just switch to putting them on the external sd card but I'm just curious as to what's happening there.
  6. So a few days into this rom I've come up against a problem. I use Doggcatcher as a podcast app and used to have it storing podcasts on the internal storage. I reinstalled it, but it is now unable to download podcasts to the internal storage, it cannot "write to file system". After some googling it sounds like it's a common issue in Kitkat but this isn't kit kat. I then tried copying a file with ES file manager and that also failed. I'm pretty sure that Link2SD is working. Would that be causing this issue? I can copy and paste from Windows fine when mounted as USB storage. Any suggestions?
  7. Has anybody else tried the Google Play music app on the G300? I quite like the Google music all access service but the app is so sluggish and unresponsive, even playing back local music. What about the spotify app, anybody tried that? Is it better?
  8. Finally managed to get time to install this, my first custom rom attempt. Seems to be working ok, still setting it up etc. Is there a way to customise the lock screen at all, like changing the font etc? I couldn't see any place to do so?
  9. So a couple of noobish questions, I've tried searching the thread but I couldn't find the answer. I'm looking at using this rom, hopefully installing in the next week or so. Does Huawei All backup app work in this rom ok? And is there a way of using the Huawei toggles at all? I'd prefer to stay using those toggles.
  10. Thanks for the suggestions guys, I'll look into these and see if I can make a decision about which way to go. Are there any roms that fix the sd card mounting issues? It has to rescan the sd card every time you turn it on, and it will loose ringtones etc etc that are on the sd card, kinda annoying. Any roms that get around the max memor allocated to app storage. There only seems to be about 700mb of app storage allocated and even when pushing most apps to sd card it still fills up quickly.
  11. Thanks very much, I'll look into those suggestions. What abouit the Cyanogenmod roms? Are they still being developed? IS there anyway to keep the toggles (I use those all the time)?
  12. I've been out of the loop for a while with what's been happening with the G300. I'm currently running the stock G300 New Zealand Vodafone rom/firmware vers B936. Looks likes we won't be getting any further updates via NZ Vodafone, and while I do love my G300 there is some very irritating little things I would love fixed. I think some of those issues were addressed in the B952 update. I found the B952 update on huwaei website http://www.huaweidev...&softid=NDcwMjk= but I'm assuming that's a generic version? If I update using the sd card method, what will happen. Will I loose my huawei toggles etc etc? Will all the NZ apn settings etc stay there or does all that stuff dissapear? Also what still custom roms are still in development? I'm willing to try a stable custom rom but I'd like to know what exactlty doesn't work properly, is there any way to see a list of roms and whats working and whats not instead of trolling through pages and pages on the forums? EDIT - Sorry this is a repost THIS CAN BE DELETED.I thought my original post didn't work but it had
