Terminal Emulator app seems borked for me. Just getting "Unfortunately, Terminal Emulator has stopped." Have trying flushing cache, uninstalling and reinstalling, etc. Anyone else with the same issue?

Nexus 7 3G - backup / restore from WiFi version?
Decided to take the plunge and order a 3G Nexus 7. I currently have the N7 32GB WiFi only version. Just wondering how to go about transferring all my apps and settings to the 3G version from the WiFi one. I'm guessing a Nandroid restore to the N7 3G from a backup taken on N7 WiFi would be a bad move - is this a fair assumption? Is Titanium Backup the way to go? Any thoughts / tips / tricks would be appreciated.

Hi Paul - Settings / Apps / All / Android keyboard / Clear data done - unfortunately no change to behaviour. Still getting constant "Android keyboard has stopped" errors.

Don't bust a gut as I can workaround, and especially not if I'm the only victim :)

Well, that was a voyage of discovery, but I now know how to logcat :) Hope the below is what you need to debug.

  6. Alan Ferrier added a post in a topic Jr18 **WiFi** (JDQ39 / 4.2.2): MoDaCo Custom ROM for the Nexus 7

    I included:

LatinIME (stock input method) installed to /system partition
LatinIME (stock input method) with forced Phone layout installed to /system partition

    but not:

Input Methods (non LatinIME) installed to /system partition

Are these the "patched keyboard" options that you're referring to?

Edit: Switching default input to Swiftkey stops the popup errors.

Hmm. Just upgraded, and getting constant "Unfortunately, Android keyboard has stopped." errors. I click "OK" and the error reappears again after a couple of seconds. Any clues?

Clearing Cache / Dalvik cache doesn't help. Am I looking at a factory reset / full restore from backup?

  8. Alan Ferrier added a post in a topic Advice on storage solutions...

Yeah, I got one. Plus point: works fine. Minus points: 1. The cap doesn't fit and just falls off. 2. It's a little flimsy. I'm concerned that if I knock it accidentally while it's plugged in it'll just snap off the microUSB connector. I got a USB OTG cable and it feels a little more secure and less likely to be damaged by rough-ish handling.

  9. Alan Ferrier added a post in a topic Has anyone gotten a headset with MIC to work with a Nexus 7?

I'm getting the opposite behaviour with my Jawbone Icon Bluetooth headset - the mic. appears to be working fine, but audio output still comes from the Nexus speaker.

I'm trying to use the N7 with Skype, and although there is a checkbox available during a Skype call wich allows you to select between Speaker and Headset audio output, it appears to have no effect.

Also tried BT Mono from Play Store which is supposed to allow control of audio, but with no success there either.
