  1. It may have flashes of brilliance, and run smoothly for a bit. However, none of them, in my opinion, are stable enough to make the phone really that much better. GB ROMs are fairly quick, but you lose a bit of functionality. I don't expect the phone to run like a Nexus 4, or a GS2. The performance is actually not far off of other devices with comparable specs. Most of the custom stuff, which I greatly appreciate, on here is definitely better than the fc'ing stock garbage that came with the phone. I'm not getting the violin out here, just that some people seem to think that one good ROM will make this budget phone into a really quick multi tasking monster. It's just not going to happen. When people post, "OMG guys, this ROM is sooooooo slow". I think they're being a whining child. That really is all the're doing.
  2. The phone is slow anyway. Deal with it.
  3. CM is not stock based, so no, it won't work Thank you
  4. Wow, living up to the name of Australian at the moment aren't you. The issue with call quality is not something that anyone chooses to have happen, its an issue with original ROM, to do with incomplete source code I believe? Its not something that can be fixed by closing your eyes and wishing really hard for it to go away. If there was a known fix, it would be fixed. Constantly berating the devs about issues which they already know about is really annoying, as you can tell by Kyan or Daz's less than nice responses at times. Then the fact that you then try and tell someone that what they did "the ROM simply, truly, is NOT good enough" .The ROMS which are "NOT good enough", were given to you to use FOR FREE. Just say that there is an issue, and leave it. If a fix comes up, it will be fixed. You're acting like a spoilt kid, this doesn't work, why isn't this fixed, your not doing it right, fix it, im going somewhere else, gimmie gimmie gimmie. Please, don't let the door hit you on the way out.
  5. I can't seem to get Pie Menu to work? They're on in the settings menu, but don't show up on home screen.
  6. Google Drive link for MIUI says "We're sorry. You can't access this item because it is in violation of our Terms of Service."
  7. Have you installed ClockWorkMod Recovery? If you have, you might need to try it again. If you haven't, you'll need to in order to install custom ROMs anyway. As its not a function that stock recovery can perform. Otherwise, just holding volume up and power on until you get to recovery.
  8. Are there better phones? absolutely. Are there better phones for the price, not when I was looking, and not now. I cant say I ever really had too much of an issue with any of the early iteration ICS roms. Ran Infusion ICS since its beginning, tried pretty much all of the ICS roms at least once. Currently running the B944 SGS3 rom. Reboots from poor signal are a pain, but I live in a city. I'll try either Daz's CM9 or the shendu JB in the next week. I'll be happy playing around, if I dont like it I'll go back to something else. I don't see the software as a let down, if I paid more for it, maybe, but I didn't. Would I buy another? If when it came time to upgrade, the Huawei still had better specs and a lower price than its competition, yes I probably would get another.

Working fine for me, D/L speed is acceptable on this link, not great by any stretch though. http://pan.baidu.com/share/link?shareid=131370&uk=3926100596

EDIT, was old 23/11/12 link. Sorry
  11. Yea, but its based on stock Huawei ICS roms I believe, and we all know how good those are.
  12. Do you know if its based off your CM work?
  13. Swiftkey is my favourite at the moment. However only the one month trial version is free. Not that that ever stopped anyone. https://play.google.com/store/search?q=swiftkey&c=apps
  14. If you read a few posts above yours, Tillaz removed the initial set up to avoid data costs before wifi can be set up. To add your google account, go to setting -> accounts & sync -> add google account.
