Yep no problems browsing the web via GPRS, don't use it for email though.

The light doesn't always change on my S100 to signify charging but if I check on the power meter it says charging.

I'm not receiving MMS's from other people even if they're on Orange (same as me) but if I send an MMS to myself I receive it.

My phone has the keylock turned on, as with an incoming SMS the phone screen comes on when someone sends an MMS but the phone doesn't download it. It doesn't seem to make a difference if I unlock my phone beforehand either :/

The folders in ./My Documents/UAContents appear to be a part of MMS.

MMS Log
MMS UA
Templates

The files I found in MMS UA appear to be related to the MMS messages I'm not receiving as the date/time stamps matches...ie the phone is receiving something but then not displaying it.

Qtek S100 running the 1.12 ROM (MMS ver 2.0.0.22).

Anyone else?

update: it now looks like its a spec of dust and is now un noiceable when the screen is on. thx for help ne way

Does it only show on the boot screen?

On my Qtek S100 there was a white pixel showing in the middle of the boot image. Once I upgraded to the current latest firmware it's back to normal.

You could either use something like TomTom Navigator or Memory Map.

Although it came from HK I didn't have any issues having one delivered to the UK: http://shop.brando.com.hk/screenprotector.php

Memory Map uses OS maps and it's absolutely superb. Should do everything you want it to.

I use my Qtek S100 and Fortuna Bluetooth GPS in an Aquapac and it's a great piece of kit smile.gif

Thanks, the thread with the information is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=15663

I've installed the applet so I can turn it off and on at will rather than having to change a registry key.

I still haven't found an option to change the message validity length?

Before I get flamed I've searched but couldn't find a thread specifically for the Magician.

I've just changed from a C500 to a Qtek S100.

Is there a way to turn on delivery reports by default instead of per message on the Magician?
Where do I change the setting for message validity (ie 1 hour/1 week etc)?

C500 had these options and I'm hoping the Magician isn't like the older smartphones which lacked this ability.

I assume you mean over GPRS?

I haven't tried it yet (still waitng on mine to arrive) but I believe you just need to install the right .cab from this site:

All you people getting replacements, did you purchase your phones from Orange directly or from 3rd party suppliers??

I just called customer services to complain about the dust in my display and to try and get it swapped out.

The guy I was speaking to was getting ready to provide a replacement but then asked where I'd bought my phone. As I'd bought it from an internet phone company he then quoted the sale of goods act to me informing me that the original supplier was liable for the first 6 months and after that point I would need to contact HTC about handset issues :/

Has anyone who had their phone swapped out successfully had their original Orange phone supplied from another source other than direct from Orange?

I've tried using this with my Fortuna clipon bluetooth GPS and C500 but can't get it to connect.

Checking the information that came with the Fortuna it requests a datarate of 38400 and how do I know which com port to use?

Can you definitely downgrade to the £15/month deal after 6 months on the Expansys/Vodafone deal?

I don't want the Voda contract at all as I'm only 4/5 months into my current Orange contract, but it seems the cheapest way to get the Jam atm.
