Hi,

You know that on the external screen the appt reminder only shows you that you have an appt, but with no description of it, I found out a way of displayingg on the external screen of my Dopod S300 (same as HTC 8500) the appt subject. If you have Papyrus just to the following:
1. Edit one of yours appt or crete a new one
2. On the subject field click the action key to subject edit page
3. Leave the first row blank (press action key again)
4. Write the appt subject on the second line

I tried to do the same using outlook, but was unable to find out how.

If you are taking some pictures or even making some video and you close the phone it automatically changes to contact picture mode and you can take pictures with the phone closed. I was wondering if there is any way of changing it to allow take normal pictures with the phone closed. I´ve checked the registry but couldn´t find any way of change it. Anybody has any idea of how to change it ?

On my Dopod S300 (aka Qtek 8500) type 1 worked but even with the 1.5 version the battery had an unusual waste of charge. I will try it again and see what happens.

I found out in windows directory another comm manager (wrlsmgr) Check the picture:

Hi ! Both options only allowed me to take regular pictures even the burst mode maybe some other registry tweak is needed. I also discovered that the only way to the sports options to work is when you save the pictures in the main memory. If you select the storage card it only take one picture instead of 3 or 5 at same time.

After the tweaks the option sports still worked in my phone.

One of my hobbies is to dig the registry looking for some new changes on my smartphone and yesterday I found out some good ones:

1) How to enable the frame rate display on the camera software screen (it will appear next to the zoom indicator:
HKLM/SOFTWARE/HTC/Camera/common/Enable frame (value) - change it to 1
2) How to include 2 more capture modes - Panorama and Burst:
HKLM/SOFTWARE/HTC/Camera/P6/Enable (value) - change it to 1
HKLM/SOFTWARE/HTC/Camera/P8/Enable (value) - change it to 1
Soft reset and you will have panorama and burst on the menu. You can take pictures on this 2 modes but I couldn’t figured out any difference LOL I guess it depends on the kind of camera lens - so it’s worthless hehehehehe but is cool to have more options to show to your jealous friends hehehehehe

I’ve bought a Dopod S300 - same like HTC STRK - And I have to say that is an amazing phone. I have just one hint to share with you guys: I was very worried about protecting the screen and mainly the external screen of any scratch so I bought at EBay a set of 5 x DuraSec ClearTec screen protector i-mate Smartflip. It comes with 5 sets of 3 pieces - 1 for the big screen, 1 for the camera and one for the external screen. After applied you can’t barely notice it - it’s amazing how transparent they are. They only have to make some little adjustments on the external display screen protection size.

By the way I don´t sell it
