Gfink, i have already unticked 'Turn WiFi on when started' but it still opens when the phone is turned on. But looking at the comments on here it looks like I shouldn't uninstall it because I will need to end up hard resetting? I took mine out of the Startup programs group on my Tytn. Seems to have done the job. I'll just leave it installed as I don't want to reflash my phone. Still got the issue where my phone now isn't automatically connecting to my home wifi, when i switch the wifi on at home |

since I've installed this, my Tytn I doesn't remember it's wep/wpa keys, which means I have to type them in again. Even installed and registered Devicescape but that doesn't work either. Also at home , my phone would always connected me to my home network. Doesn't now, just gives me a list of available access points, then I have to type in the wep key again. This apps has ruined my wifi setup. Very disappointing, but that's what you get when you try a beta. I'll wait for the next WM6 reinstall before getting rid of this package |

Hi, we've got a HTC S710 phone. As soon as you slide the qwerty keyboard out, the phone goes dead (screen goes off, no keys react). Sliding the keyboard back doesn't help, and the only way to get the phone back on is to remove and replace the battery. I've tried a hard reset, but no change Anybody else had this issue ? cheers Mat |

Just got a text from Tmobile saying that the planned changes to web/walk (payg) aren't going ahead now on the 26th September, so can I still surf and not be charged over a £1 a day. Does anybody know what these changes were going to be ? |

Hi, I'm using a Tytn with WM6. I've got activesync set up to talk to our exchange server. This works fine over wifi/gprs, getting latest emails, contacts etc. However, when I connect via a USB cable to my work PC, it just says it's continually syncing, but doesn't actually sync. I've also noticed this on a Tytn II that arrived last week. The phone is definitely connected ok and the mymobile apps comes up fine, and I can explore the phone. The phone can also access the net via the USB cable. So are there any settings I should check as to why it can't sync via the USB cable ? Oh, just to add, eventually it comes up with a Support code : 85010016 |

A picture says 1000 words... like wow! (hermes vs. G900 on BBC homepage on fullscreen opera) (and on modaco) im no photographer btw - both screens are crystal clear, and fully readable (by me)... i used a cut down martin fields PSP screen protector to keep the screen nice (PSP ones are huge - you can make 2 or 3 phone protectors out of them) thanks for that. looks amazing - I think my Tytn's due for an accident some time |

Well mine came through and I have to admit that the quality is excellent, and dead easy to pair etc. A triumph for technology and suprisingly meaty bass. What more can I ask for? I got my Motorola S9's yesterday. Easy to pair, but when using Mortplayer or WMP, listening to podcasts, I'm getting gaps during the tracks. Any suggestions ? Did anybody apply any patches or setting changes ? cheers mat |

I've just moved over from a vario to a vario II, and was surprised at how quickly my phone's battery was dropping over the weekend when in standby. I have now switched 3g off (which is ironic as that's the main reason I upgraded!!), and the battery life is massively improved. I even made a call yesterday and did some wi-fi newsbreak browsing and the battery life was still fine. |

right, that works nicely, from a technology point of view. Sony's paired and listening to MP3s using mortplayer. However, rather foiled by my crap ear lobes. These are the type of cans which have loops to go over the ear, then a small wire running between each ear pad. However they just won't stay on and wobble alot when walking down the road, partly due to the weight of the sony's Any other options ? Basically I'll be walking into town each day listening to podcasts, so ideally I need to be able to either fold the phones up whilst in town or put them in my pocket. Any suggestions ? (apart from ear lobe plastic surgery !) |

Yes you can. They will play on WMP or via any other player of your choice as the clever bit is done by the Vario II rather than the player application. Once you've paired your BT headphones and VII, you should be away without any problem. thanks for the quick reply. hopefully the headphones should be here tomorrow |

bit disappointed that there isn't a GUI way to setup button controls - e.g full screen, home page, hide address bar etc. |

as others have said, if it doesn't work with T-mobile (the only decent charging PAYG data network in UK IMHO), then they won't get my money and I'll just plonk for the lower-res screen, but keyboard, of the Kaiser to replace my aging HTC Wizard. |

Hi, you used to be able to remove the o2 active software, by hard resetting, then typing in 0506 when it got to the "personal/corp" question. With the new firmware (that includes the push email solution), that doesn't appear to work. Any other guesses ? cheers Mat |

OK - finnaly seem to have sorted it - just kept uninstalling USB devices in Device manager then performing a soft reset - eventauly the firmware exe managed to get device information and updated the firmware. Key points to note here are: Device must show up in device manager under Microsoft CE Device Seems a good idea to leave the device for a few minutes once it has been found and installed in device manager before running the firmware exe. Hope this helps someone else out there just like to thankyou, you are a life saver, as by MDs exec failed during a firmware update, and using the steps above, it now appears to be updating (touch wood !) thanks again |

I'm using Tmobile PAYG. When I try and use PIE (with PIEplus installed), it just sits there, "Locating" However, both Opera and Netfront work fine. I have checked that there isn't any proxy settings on the connection. I'm sure this used to work on my Vario. Any guesses, it's just that with PIEplus, it has some nice shortcut keys unlike Netfront and Opera. cheers Mat |

I had numerous browser hangs and crashes using PIE Plus v2.1, but when I tried v2.2 (released about a week ago) they disappeared and it seems to work well. hmmm, very odd. Stuck 2.2 on and still the same issue. It fires off the gprs connection to t-mobile - says connecting, then just sits there "locating", until it brings up a message "The page cannot be displayed or downloaded because the connection was lost. Check the connection and try again" Very strange |

following up on this, both Opera and Netfront work fine on T-Mobile, so I think my PIE has become confused, either trying to use a proxy (but the proxy settings in connections is blank and not ticked), or it's trying to use the wireless when its not enabled. Any guesses ? Why am I using PIE ? Its just got some nice hot button controls you can assign to it. |

I've got pie plus (reensoft) installed and opera installed on a vario using tmobile payg. opera works fine on payg, but pieplus just sits there 'locating'. maybe pieplus is identifying itself as a full browser and is being stopped by tmob? pieplus does have a identifier but I've checked and its set to pie. I have checked and there is no proxy set on either opera and pieplus and both work fine on mine and works wifi. i'm sure it worked on payg before installing pieplus any guesses ? |

Ok, I'm a bit late in the day to be customising my SPV550, but I really liked the look of this homescreen, but I'm obviously missing some installs I've downloaded the file attached to this thread and extracted/copied it into the Home folder. What else do I need as I can't select anything new from the "settings/homescreen" page cheers Mat |
