I've noticed a few times that while locked, if you press the left softkey to wake it up it will sometimes open the calendar!. if you press it a second time yo uget the "press Unlock to unlock" screen as you would expect,. It's almost as if it forgets that it's locked and opens the calendar before remembering! anyone else seen this? (SPV M3100) |

apparently not You need Blackberry "enabling" on your sim to enable you to talk to the blackberry gateway....bit of a pain really cos with a normal data connection it should just work I reckon! grr |

well, I finally managed to get in touch with orange, THe following trasnspired... OCS - "you can't have blackberry enabled unless yuo've bought a blackberry device".. Me - "I don't want a balckberry device..I have a pocketPC phone with blackberry connect software I would just like to connect to my Blackberry Enterprise Server" OCS - "you installed that yourself?" Me - "yes, I installed it on my device" OCS - "well unless we supply it ready installed then you can't have an enabled sim" Me - "but you don't supply any blackberry connect enabled devices. PLease just turn on balckberry for my sim" OCS - "we can't, unless we supply you with a blackberry device you can't have a blackberry sim" Me - "well w're going round in circles now...am I allowed to install blackberry connect? It's free software from RIM..." OCS - "you can install what you like" me - "well I've installed it now ENABLE it for me" OCS - "we can't enable blackberry unless we supplied you with blah blah etc etc etc." repeat until bored so there we go. Orange won't turn it on..even tho it does seem to work on the device..just won't connect! grrr |

I've managed to get the Blackberry COnnect software up and running so I can talk to the BES server in work. 2 questions. - Do I need to get it "enabled" by Orange as a service? - if so, can I ring em up and just ask for it..does it cost more? Such little information about it anywhere! Thanks |

Hmm. I got my m3100 yesterday, I@ve been using it and charging it on and off, but it never seems to go above 90% charge!. It's been sitting at 90% for the last hour on charge via my laptop... anyone seen the same? I'll try and plug it in the mains when I get home.... |

ha.. mine arrives on Monday as a free upgrade. O denied all knowledge of an "unlimited" data tariff, unless I went to a £75 a month contract where I could get off-peak unlimited. anyway... I'm gonna play with it for a few days..if I like it'll probably send it back then order the W+W version from T-mobile as the data tariff will suit me much better!. hoho (am I evil?)... |

I spoke to T-mobile today (to send back the SDA II cos I was having a blonde moment when I ordered it...not at all what I wanted!) They said that it's not yet showing on the system, but they expect it within a couple of weeks..... so I'm gonna hold out for that |

I can't see the Vario II on t-mobile's site.... Is it up there? I'm currently with Orange with a (like someone else) half broken C500 that doesn't ActiveSync and delets all my text messages when it turns off (which it does regularly!) I had a XDA Mini from O2 at the beginning of the year that went back as it was horribly unstable... |

I picked up my new XDA mini S yesterday, and have been playing ever since. I can only get it to connect to my WLAN if I set the Access Point to manually be .b only. If i leave it on Auto it just refuses t o connect the phone....is this likely to be a idiosyncrasy of my Netgear wg602? (It is a bit pants!), I do have a couple of other issues, sometimes when it goes into powersave, the backlight won't come back on, as the slider is set all the way across to off.... I may try to do a reset again on it, and reconfigure it up!. |
