Hi! Anyone know how to correct the bug of 10 seconds power save. Let me explain it, for those that do not know it: - from time to time it changes the value of "Display time out" in Setting/Power Management down to 10 seconds which is very very irritating; if I switch it back to 30 seconds (or what ever other value) it will return to 10 seconds again in some time.... Thanks Dan |

QUOTE "]Unlikely...
TBH, you wouldn't want to use a BT headset for MP3s, the quality isn't designed for that. If someone developed a totally different peripheral, 'bluetooth headphones' it may be possible I guess, but not using the existing headset profile... P The bluetooth headset profile does not allow stereo devices. Another profile can be created but it would not be supported by any actual bluetooth device/dongle, as it is not a standard. Though you could use a new profile having both master and slave bluetooth devices (it would be like some headset that provide you both device, and connect it to the bottom of your phone). |

QUOTE Thanks. A GPRS counter would be great but I don't want to spend £15 on one. I was wondering if anyone knew any figures for how many MB's are transfered a minute on a 24k stream, or what they have found to be the average size of a webpage.
Matt When watching a 24k stream you download about 2-3 kb/s of data. So, a minute means 3kb x 60sec = 180kb/min An hour cost 180kb x 60min = Check with you calculator A+ DM |

QUOTE Unfortunately no second SPV or PPC to try it out, but somehow I doubt it too. ActiveSync is not designed for multiple connection. You need an exchange server for that! A+ DM |

QUOTE Well, here's code for a fully functioning program (the lines above plus a WinMain to wrap it) that makes my phone beep merrily away.
Alternatively, there's no reason you can't create a little (hidden) window to be a message receptacle -- that's a perfectly reasonable and valid Windows programming technique. I have already done that for ppc, you can create a hidden window, save its handle in a static variable or function, and use it anytime you need in your application. DM |

QUOTE "]This isn't supported in 2003, but it is something I wouldn't be surprised to see down the line.
There are a number of compatibility issues with doing this that MS needs to get around, but never say never P It is supported by Smartphone 2003 kernel, but the graphical interface (sm2003 so called shell) is not compatible. Though user software would be able to acces all screen of the phone, the shell of sm 2003 will be seen only on a part of the screen corresponding to its design resolution (176x220). DM |

QUOTE its got 32Mb of RAM, we know from previous information. So it should be of comparable speed to the motorola mp200x, but of course there is the overhead of the fluffed out operating system, and whos to say how sp2003 will affact preformance without testing it. Paul? Speed is due to ce 4.2, I use Platform Builder of Microsoft (the one that generates the rom images), and I can tell you there is a huge difference between ce 3.0 (smartphone 2002) and 4.x(smartphone 2003). Memory does not count too much, actual memory of spv is mostly enough. By the way, the compatibility of the software is not too sure. There are lots of new things in ce 4.2 and lots of changes. Some software may work, but most of them wouldn't. |
