Settings -> Connections -> Connections -> Advanced -> Select Networks. Select "My Work Network" on both the drop-downs. The phone won't (can't) dial out for WAP/3G/GPRS now and will only use WiFi. |

QUOTE(pzee @ Jun 9 2005, 14:00) Yes. You may modify the flightmode script (2.shk) CODE Run,quickapp.exe, WaitWindow,Quick List,1000, Type,2, You can include 'Sleep,XXXXX,' command. hmmm, I just can't get it to work. Using this and various alterations CODE Run,quickapp.exe, WaitWindow,Quick List,1000, Type,2, Sleep,5000, Run,quickapp.exe, WaitWindow,Quick List,1000, Type,2, The first bit is ok, and the sleep is good, but it just types 2, thus bringing up the dialing screen. I've tried destroying the Quicklist and running it again, but that just killed the quicklist until i rebooted the phone. Also tried different timings, but that didn't work. Any ideas? |

Would it be possible for one of these to turn flight mode wait a few seconds and turn flight mode off? This would then change sims on a dual sim adaptor. Thanks EDIT: having just downloaded the app, it looks like it could be quite easy to do.... i will have a go now. |

In the review, one of the pics shows the config screen, the style and menu of the windows folder looks like WM2005, yet the pics of the phone/pad are of a C500. Is there some kind of secret WM2005 rom for the c500, or did the reviewer just use the developer emulator for screenshots (which I doubt, as there is charging symbol and there is a radio signal which is lower in 1 frame). Anyone care to shine a light on this? |

QUOTE(davespvc500 @ Jun 4 2005, 11:37) Can anyone please help? My SPV-C500 appears to have lost its ability to reassign sounds to ringtones and alerts in the Settings/Sound menu. I can still assign ringtones to individual Contacts on my phone but cannot modify Sounds for alerts and errors etc. After I do try to change any of the settings the 'Done' button to store and exit does not work. It's so frustrating...... Hope someone can help Dave Unassociate .wma files with betaplayer |

QUOTE(prusling @ Jun 1 2005, 07:39) How long is the ribbon cable? I use a Krusell case, so if the cable is long enough and it can exit at the side I guess it could lie flat on the outside of the battery pack inside the case? Sounds like you'd better not disturb your setup, so don't try it for me! The network display/switcher sounds like a great idea. The ribbon isn't long enough to exit the compartment and it is orientated the wrong way, however on the packaging for the adapter it show a different style avaliable which may work, now whether there's enough clearence between the battery and the side of the case is another matter. I've spent all yesterday night looking into display/switcher and it looks to be possible, i've found the API calls to retrieve the operator name, the phone number (I like to have my phone number displayed on the phone screen) and a which i think will change the homescreen. I can't really guess if it will come off or not, as my .net skills are quite poor..... but i'll try ![]() Edit: i have the one on the left. The middle one might fit your idea. |

QUOTE(Arbait @ May 31 2005, 20:41) I want a dual-sim myself. A guy from a romanian mobile phones forum gonna have for sale, in a week or soo (knock in the table), a dual-sim, his word "digital, 7 generation kind", well, no need to turn off/on to swich beetween sims. Until then, my searches give me this link about the subject and a happy dual-sim user http://dualsim.dnsalias.org/dual-sim-adapter.html I personally would never cut up a sim card, as theres really no going back. With the "splitter' esq version such as the one i have, there's no need to cut the cards, you just have to rag the whole package into the battery compartment - which is a pain in itself, but you do have come back, if you wuss out |

QUOTE(Confucious @ May 16 2005, 17:41) I bought one of the ones that takes 2 SIMs but it doesn't fit in the phone. The ones where you cut the SIMS down habve been arround for ages and all the phonme forums I have been on people have asked about them and some people have even said that they are going to try them but I have never seen a post from anyone who has tried one (either succesfully or not) - I'm still waiting to here a report of one so if anyone has tried one..... Confucious has kindly sent me the one he bought, after fiddling all day, i've managed to get it to fit in. It's one that looks like this: http://images.marketworks.com/hi/61/61342/mai_all.jpg The length of the ribbon to the dual holder meant that it wouldn't fit in the battery compartment, so i had to double-back the ribbon - it's not the best thing to electronic ribbons mind. As the ribbon has been double-backed the the battery pokes out further, so getting the backcover on is a royal pain in the ass. At first I could only get one side of the cover to lock into place and the other side was "bludging", but after some squeezing and some sweating the other side clicked into place. I'm not even going to attempt to remove the backcover, as i'm pretty sure it's stuck there forever. One problem i have found is that packing all that crap into the battery compartment has made the right soft key and the back button ultra-sensitive to the touch (which is better then the "always pressed" i had for a few moments, before a rejig). I guess its something i have to get used to. Switching Sim cards is as simple as switching flight mode off and on. I can however see myself using the wrong simcard at the wrong time, so i'm on the look out for an app that will alter the homescreen depending on which network i'm connected too, or place a nice big Orange or Vodafone symbol on my homescreen, perhaps with a quick network switcher aswell. Anyway, hope that helps some of you. My thanks again to Confucious |

Just flashed my device with this ROM. Restored all my files with sprite backup, it errored at the end... but i think thats because of the app lock. Just emailed the applock guys for the program to unlock it. One small notice. My custom home screen now displays the 3 letter day in french eg 'Mi' for today..... anyone know how to change this? |

I have this problem like everyone else on mp3/wma etc, but having tried some .mods with smartamp, i don't hear it, perhaps it's the nature of the music that covers it up, but you never know. |

QUOTE(ultimasnake @ Feb 5 2005, 14:06) hmm this sounds great but i'm about to stop my Gprs bundle since i don't use it that often also the e200 doesn't support java by default so i'm rather worried about it BUT it does sound GREAT and i'm very interested in looking into this myself (i'm about to start something diffrent but also on the sms area and so, wíll keep it a secret for now) and it does sound really nice. I am more then willing to help with development of a .net/C++ version which would mean greater compatablity with other phones. I couldn't get my head around connections in .net so i made the java version instead. You could try this which will probably work on the e200: http://www.genietexter.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=404 |
