I said "hurry", b/c they did open their free downloads only since last Tuesday and I have no idea on how long it will stand for. I fall on it thru Wikipedia...

They provide both a PC generator, and SnapABar. SnapABar is a Java (J2ME) program for decoding QrCodes from shots of the mobile camera.

SnapABar is downloadable for about 300 models. From my Nokia 5200, I was able to shot a QRcode picture that I generated on my PC -- using Jaxo's generator. This QRcode had more than 500 characters . Most of my close friends (with Nokia's, Sony-Ericsson's, Siemens, etc.) were as lucky. Even this QR-code, below, was properly decoded despite its strange colors and embedded pic.


As well as it decoded most of the funny qrcodes I found at this japanese site .
Cherry on the cake. Their second PC-based barcode generator allows you to add several kinds of hyper-links into the barcode picture. Well, it is a bit cumbersome to use ... but it works.

1, Orange Homepage 
2, Go to Help using your phone
3, Select your Phone Orange SPV C500 in the drop down boxes
4, Click on the Link Download the latest c500 software update
5, Click on the link How do I download the latest software update?

The Latest Orange SPV C500 Operator ROM version is 4.2.1.4

Can you tell me the contents of the registry value HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\CellProfileSwitcher\Cell\GroupName?

I have included your localization fixes. I have changed only one thing: I have localized "Automatic Keylock" into Dutch (as it is not a real "name").

I have uploaded a new version 1.7 to my web site.
Changes include:
- internationalization (currently German and English)
- fixes for WM5.0 and QVGA devices

If you listen to the quality of the "Videoed" phone calls I would suspect that it is just the mic picking up the earpiece.

So... are you offering to develop an app?

Because the video recorder was picking up the background sounds, in this case the conversation.

I don't know why I keep coming back to this one, I don't even use my C500 anymore.

This software isn't possible on a SPV !! Because the main processor TI Omap has two cores :
- an ARM 9 for the application
- an ARM 7 for the GSM stack.
And it's impossible to map these two cores, if a recorder application will existing, she will run on the ARM9 core but she can't to access at the ARM7 core !

I've got ROM update version; Operator: 4.2.1.4 which I downloaded from the Orange website a few days ago.

The phone freezes on receipt of text and multimedia messages, rejects calls when I press accept and loses bluetooth settings once the paired device is switched off.

When a message is received the phone freezes it's a battery-off job to reset, but once working again the new unopened message has gone ... bl**dy annoying or what?

I am beginning to loath this phone, I even put my SIM in a Sendo yesterday cos I was so sick of it  :shock:

This in my opinion should be an optional service that you choose to add on rather than have to remove it at time of checkout.

As listed below, the only service this additional charge seems only to offer something that the developer should be including free as pasrt of the product support.

I just struggle at first with this but found I had to clear the cache within WMP10 on the PC whilst the phone was not connected.  After the reg tweek it then works fine.
