OK, for the thickos among ud - that's me, by the way, lol - if it's using the USB cable, then how can switching to serial help? all I have to connect my phone is a USB cable! Today I got my htc-wizzard, and was annoyed because syncing didn't work.. I solved the exploring bit of activesync by: Connect the phone. Kill WCESMgr.exe and wcescomm.exe in the taskmanager (PC). restart wcescomm.exe. Go to active sync and start exploring your phone syncing doesn't work, but exploring and putting the cab's on the phone does work Now testing if switching to serial mode does the trick for me >> UPDATE << It DID the trick for me Syncing is not a problem any more |

QUOTE(muff @ Aug 23 2005, 10:00) the one tricky thing is that there is no file explorer on the phone itself, which makes selecting stuff kinda difficult (at least that's my experience with it under VisualStudio - fortunately there are workarounds from VS) Workaround: emulator manager > crade device then: Active sync > connect, then: Active sync >> explore !! You can put a explorer in storage > windows > startmenu > programs Could work also.. |

Found this one yesterday on the Microsoft site: http://msdn.microsoft.com/mobility/windows...ew/default.aspx Downloaded it and works great: virtual cradle storage card emulation (from folder on PC, or like I used: cardreader) you can explore the folders on the phone (using active sync) run applications on it (some like TOMTOM run slow, others run great!!) |

When running an application like GPSdash2, (or sms, or filemanager etc..) the phone will not keep the application "always on top" but will go back to the homescreen within a few seconds. How can I avoid that and keep programs always running "on top" ?? Thanks in advance, BR, Equinoxe |
