Here you can see a flash preview of it.. http://www.htctouch.com/ This have to be a simple ROM upgrade.. I think it would be cooler if a device like for an example TYTN came with this.. Then you could have the cool new functions AND a keyboard!! |

Hi. I installed the TCMP. There is an issue with the album art. First of, only one and the same image appears on all of my songs regardless to wich album is playing. Then, in the playlist, the other albumarts appear (and is being played by an image showing of for some seconds before it goes on the the next song), but they as registry entries. Here you see System of a Down playing, but the album art is showing Lacuna Coil (Lacuna Coil is showing for all my songs) ![]() Here you see the album art appearing in the playlist as registry entries ![]() Here you see an albumart is being played (only a image appearing for some seconds before it switch to next song) ![]() Any ideas on this?? anyone?? |

Personally I hate abstact start and the other one thats flauting around which does look better its just that they are no configurable to my likings but each to his own and I am glad you like it but you should try the reg edits above if you have wm5 software as it does all that abstract start does plus more without having to take up valuable memory by having one more applet running and installed You are a bit wrong here. Reg Edit do not do all of the things that Abstract can do. Look at the this screenshot (from their webpage) ![]() ![]() What you see here is one with twelve icons on. This is great. But on the other screenshot there is 11 icons, and one "move to next page button"!!! With a standard background (and not that noisy background on the screenshot), I find the new looking startmenu Super Duper Great And reg editing is to messy to do all the time you either install a new prog (and want to place it where you want the shortcut), or simply want to change the order of you icons |

I don't think there is anymore you can do at your home. Recently, I had the exact same problem. I hard reseted, didn't help. Upgraded ROM, didn't help. So I had to send it to a workshop, and they replaced the main module (now we're talking hardware.) ....you may think, if they changed the main module, wich is just about everything inside the phone, why didn't they just give me a shiny new phone?? Well, I ask the same question to Anyway, my phone is fine now... I am bluetooth up'n go!. |

From what I know, it's the developer of the software that decide if you are allowed do choose the storage card as destination. |

I don't know about Pocket MSN, but the issue is the same with Windows Mobile Live. I asked the Live Team about why it didn't use my wifi connection, and this is the answer I got: QUOTE Current generation WiFi chips do not have a low power mode in which they can still receive data. They are fine for downloading email or a web page etc where the chip powers up, pulls down data and then powers down. They are not so good for always connected push applications such as Messenger or ActiveSync* which would need to keep the chip powered up so we can receive incoming messages. Your battery would go flat VERY fast. Implementation wise we tell the Connection Manager that we prefer connections that supports wake on incoming data. GPRS is one such connection, current generation WiFi is not. We will only use WiFi if you do not have a GPRS connection configured. I am told that there are new WiFi chips in the pipeline that solve this problem and will support wake on incoming data while still consuming little power. When such phones are available WLM should automatically make use of it. |

Well, now I have tried to test my phoneBT with other units. Nokia 6230, a laptop with BT, My Qtek 8310, the GPS. I tested who could find each other, and who couldn't. Laptop found Nokia (vice verca, Nokia found laptop) Laptop found GPS (!!) Nokia didn't find GPS (but it only support BT headset, so maybye its logic?) So, the schocking results: NO ONE found my Qtek, and vice verca, my Qtek didn't find anything. This was testet both with my Qtek BT set to "on" and "visible". So I guess the problem is not the GPS, but my freakin phone!! What is mystical here is (as you see from my starting thread) I sometimes actually DID find my GPS with my Qtek. Ergo, the phone BT ain't comletly dead, it's just VERY unstable.. So my question is now, What can I do to make my BT up&go??? I REALY want to be navigated (altough it's just for fun |

Hi. I have an Qtek 8310, and recently got a GPS receiver "Holux GPSlim 236" The thing is, to get the phone and the GPS to pair, is a nightmare!! *Here is what I do. turn on my GPS, and wait til it starts "bluetooth-blinking" *Set my phone-BT to ON. *Start searching for other units to pair. All I end up with is "No other units is found". I try to put by phonebluetooth, to off, and on again, but still no result . Then one time, I sat my phoneBT to "Visible". that actually did the trick.... but for that one time only.. I started TomTom, and everything worked... So to check that it would work every time, I set it all of (exit tomtom, turn off phoneBT and turned off GPS) When I now put my GPS back on, started tomtom, They didn't speak. Went to phoneBT-settings to check if there were any contact. NOPE IT WASN'T!! So then back on, try to pair them without ANY result... My phone just wont find the GPS again.. ----------------------------------------- Any ideas anyone?? May it be the GPS is F***?? Is there any trick to make this work?? Help would be great |

Hi. If you look at example the "games" folder in the start menu (using a file explorer), you see that there is a link-file called icon.lnk If if put the icon.lnk in "programs" folder, the "program" folder gets the same multi-state icon as "games". Now, i have made several folders (for logical hierarchy purpose). But when all of the are alike, i find it booring So, can anyone help me with making folder-icons more fun?? thanks.. |

Hi, I see there is a pluginpack for PPC PIE, called PIEPlus. Is there anything similar to that for smartphone? I realy miss some options for PIE. Like Tabbed browsing would be great. And the fact that PIE don't support web pages using frames is just Low!! I would love if PIE could download files (as zip, exe, mp3, u name it..) directly to my Storage Card. And what about scrolling through pages?? why not copy miniOperas idea by using sideway scrolling as PageDown? Does anyone know how to get trough ANY of my issues?? |

Hi. I wanted to change the order of my icons on the start menu. I have a Qtek 8310 with wm5 this is what I did: HKCU-Software-Microsoft-Shell-StartMenu and edited the "Order" value. The first 9 in the list goes like this: ------------------------------------ Internet Explorer.lnk Windows Media.lnk Windows Live Messenger.lnk Calendar.lnk Messaging.lnk Contacts.lnk Settings.lnk Call History.lnk Pictures & Videos.lnk ------------------------------------ Now after restarting my phone, I assumed The first page in the start menu would be like this: IE WM WLM CAL MSG CTS SET cHSTR P&V But, the page is actually like this: Active Sync P&V Camera FileManager Speed Dial Settings Internet Ex. Calendar Contact To me, this make no sence... And since there is Way more programs following the startmenu, It's all just a mess now. (the folders came at the very end as I wanted it though..) Does anyone know what I am supposed to do here to get it the way I want??? |

I would pay for a much better sms client! There are (if I understand it right) unlimited space for sms messages. The last time I checked, I had about 3500 in my inbox Now I would really need a folder system to keep track of these. And not just folders, but even some "smart foldes" First of, the ability to create folders, and store messages in those you want (if none selected, it would of course go to the default inbox). And why stop there, why not the ability to password protect you folders? If I receive confidential info by sms, I would like to keep others from viewing it! Then, smart folders: How about something similar to media player? There you can view sms "by sender", "by date, month". And then a search function? And one more thing, I would like to have an option wich let me decide if I want to double-tap the send button before it actually sends the message.. How many times haven't I sent messages by miss-clicking the send button by mistake? A double-tap would be nice!! Now, this is more like it I think! Yup, I would pay for this PS. I think it's a shame that Microsoft haven't forfilled my list in the first place! |

I posted how I did in i another topic, but here it is: QUOTE so i copied the T9NorwegianLdb.dll on to my phone. I have tried to put it on the storage card in a folder called t9, in application data in a folder called t9 an I have tried putting i directly in \windows (yes, of course I have changed the values in the registry along when changing the destination of the dll file) In the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\MUI\Availible I added the value 0414 And called the Value Data: Norwegian Then in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\T9 Input Method\LDBs I added the value 0414 and called the value data: \Storage Card\t9\T9NorwegainLdb.dll And finally in the HLM\T9 Input method\MUI\Languages I edited the value: "Availible" from 0409,0407 to 0409,0407,0414 Then i copyed the file: "T9Ime.dll.0414.mui" onto the \windows folder I have this feeling that the WM5 ROM is very tabu here on modaco, and even on other pages. Strange few answers on these kind of topics, and I know for sure there are many "brainiacs" that can tell me a solution.. But now as I have been using the new ROM, I actually want WM2003 back. the alarm clock wont work. 3'rd part software don't work. MMS ain't an option. +++ So how can i downgrade? |

Hi all. I recently upgraded my rom to WM5 test build. Ok, I shouldn't have done it, but its done. And now I regret it a bit. The thing I didn't check was which language was pre-installed on the ROM. I found out to late it was only English and German. I'm from Norway, and that don't fit me at all :s I don't care if the menu is in english, but I would like to have the T9 in Norwegian. It's a big problem actually. I have been trying to use a dll file called T9NorwegianLdb.dll, but without luck. If someone have "THE" tip for me how to get it to work, I would be very happy If else ; I want my wm2003 back But stupid me, didnt make a backup of my old ROM before I upgraded. And I don't know a safe procedure to downgrade it --------------------------------- So there is my problem.. Anyone to solve?? |
