Alpha Numeric box: number/ letter keys only work as numbers. Most of the other letter-only keys work as letters, a couple dont work (eg o, w) Alpha numeric multiline box: Once I go into the multi-line view all keys work as they should!! Numeric only box: Numver/ letter keys type numbers, al other keys type their respective symbol (ie no their letter) Let me know if you want me to test anything else rgds gr Thank you very much for testing that! Until I find a better solution, for now I will switch all text boxes to be multi line - not ideal but at least something. I released version 2.4 with this change in it so if you want you can give it a try. It is available on the official BeyondPod Release Page. Thank you again for your help! |

I'm not sure what apps are CF and what apps arent. If you know of a CF app that has a trial version I can test it out? I attached a small app to this post - it has 3 text boxes (2 set for for text and 1 set for numeric). Can you see if that one works. This one is build specifically for WM6 and uses CF. Just copy the app (it is only 8k) somewhere on your device and run it. I really appreciate your help! |

Hi It happens in all fields when creating a new feed. Unfortunatly I can't edit the types as I previously deleted all the default feeds and even when I reinstall they don't come back. I tried importing but it wouldn't allow me to do that either. The new version is somewhat improved. When entering a new feed it still only recognises the numbers on the shared numeric/ letter keys but this time it does recognise the other non-numeric keys (y, u, i, o, h, j etc) I don't know if its relevant or not, but compared to the dask, the number keys are a row over on the Cavalier. ie on the dash W=1 but on the Cavalier E=1 etc. Hope some of that helps, let me know if you need aany more info. gr Thank you for helping me with this. I just found that HTC Vox has the same problem (the keyboard is arranged in the same manner). I am really puzzled why would that happen. I am guessing that the Compact Framework gets confused by the different keyboard arrangement. Do you by any chance have any other Compact Framework applications that you can try to see if this is a Compact Framework problem or local problem in BeyondPod. I asked around and I am still waiting for a response. In a mean time, you can restore the defaults by replacing your TrackState.xml file with the one I attached to this post, (or alternatively you can delete all files in the BeyondPod installation directory and then reinstall 2.4). There are some OPML files in the OPML directory that you can import. Thank you again. sk |

Hi have a HTC Cavalier running WM6. I experience the problem when adding an xml feed when typing the xml address. It just enters the numbers instead of any of the letters. If you need any more info just ask. rgds gerryR Thanks Gerry. HTC Cavalier was also the issue in my other report. Does that happen in every field you type, or just this one?. Also (assuming you use version 2.3) can you try to create a new category (select a feed, and then Menu -> Manage Feeds -> Edit Feed, scroll to "Manage Categories" link and click on it. Then Menu->New Category) - see if typing there works correctly. Also, I just built a custom release of the upcoming version 2.4 that has some code to (may be) prevent that. If you have time, can you please try it. It is available on the BeyondPod BETA download page: BeyondPod 2.4 RC |

Hi Not sure if you're just sharing info or are involved with the development of the app, but if its the latter then there seems to be a problem with qwerty smartphones in that when typing the address filed etc it only recognises the number keys/ characters so you can't enter an address. thanks gr Thank you for reporting that. This is interesting. I have tried it on several qwerty smart phones and pocket PCs (T-Mobile DASH, Palm Treo) and I have never seen that problem . What device are you using? What screen/field are you trying to type into? I actually did get a report once of a similar problem but never got a reply back so was not sure if that was a real problem. I would relay like to solve that issue, but will need help from somebody with such a device to try couple of workarounds. |

I am looking for people interested in beta testing an application for managing and playing podcasts on Windows mobile 5.0 Smartphone and Pocket PCs. This application lets you browse your existing podcasts on the device, remembers how much you listened of each one (so you can easily switch/resume from one feed to another or delete the played ones). If you listen to podcasts on your Smartphone or Pocket PC, want to try it out and help with some feedback, the latest BETA is available here. |
