All I could find is within Mapopolis when you have a certain Map loaded you can look for Postcodes,Museum,Train Station etc.
It is within: Menu Find Place or Category Is it that what you are after ? Cheers PT-1 |

Hi Guys,
I was just testing this. Loading the following Maps: Middlesex (starting point, Gwynedd (wales) and all the Major road maps) When I try Navigate/Get a Route it tells me cannot find route. I have not turned on add continguous. I have then tried a Route from Middlesex to Norfolk/Norwich and get the same message when I press done. I have loaded all the Major Road Maps and Middlesex and Norfolk. I can find the adresses in the Maps without a Problem, but finding a route just using major Roads and the 2 County Maps of my Origin and target doesn't seem to work for me. Any Hints? |

Hi,
I'm back from my trip to Wales AND i tested Mapopolis Beta 30/03/2004.... Summary: Trip from London to Bangor(Wales) 1st I did not know what Maps I should open so I kind of guessed the from the Mapopolis overview Map to not exceed the population Limit. I have not got tha Major UK Maps yet, so I had to open all the countys. Of course I must have forgotten one, so it tried to route me another(longer) way. I restarted the application near Birmingham and Mapopolis succesfully routed me half way through and then crashed with a weird sound on the speaker of the phone. I had to re-start the phone, but after that it managed the journey succesfully to the doorstep. I have a clean new rebooted phone with tha flashmemory cleared before installation of mapopolis. I was just using the demo maps. Today on the way back, mapopolis opened one map, reminded me it will expire in 6 days and the went back to the homne screen. I could not use the application at all anymore. One error I found was tha I cannot store "start GPS" in the settings. It's gone after a closing the applicatin/restart of the phone. I just had a look on the Mapopolis Website and they must have updated the Cab File. The last on I had was from 20.03.2004 the new one is from 30.03.2004. @Lamar: Is there no way to see this Information within Mapopolis or add the Information onto the Webpage. Ay Idea what has been changed ? Cheers Steffen |

As mentioned in this discussion Hays Technology does no longer repair the SPV's. DO not know the name of the company but number is: 0871 223 0217 and they sent you an envelope to get it shipped to them and it should not take longer than 5-6 days.

Just got off the Phone with Orange. I have a E100 (Since August 2003) and the phone shuts itself down since a few days....Newest Software 1.61.
Now the Girl told me I have only 6months Orange and 12 Month manufator guarantee. I can ring HTC Repair and see what they offer me but I also asked for a Upgrade to E200 wich would cost me £75. Is it worth it? How long does a repair take with HTC or do they change the phone ? Cheers PT-1 |

What is the Proper way to exit a Application on a Smartphone?
Whenever I use for example Contact and leave it with the back key I can still see the Application running in Taskmanager and using Memory. Is there no Extit function like in other applications or do I have to kill it manually to get rid of it? Cheers PT-1 |

Hi,
I have just ordered from this Ebay Seller: http://cgi6.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...&sort=3&rows=50 Any of the mentioned GPS Units can be ordered including a XDA Holder ( I know they are no good for SPV), GPS Mouse Holder, Software, GPS Mouse incl. 12v Charger for Phone and Power Supply for GPS (I'm not sure on the last one, maybe batterie). The cost around €60 or around £40. I think they might ship to England and I will update you as soon as I get mine. If anyone needs help with this german site, just pm me! Cheers PT-1 |

Silly Question:
If you buy the maps, how are they licensed ? You get support and free downloads for one year, but will they work after that period ? Are the locked to you IMEI # or can you swap phones? I have a E100 now and will soon upgrade to E200 or simular.. Cheers PT-1 |
