I created my own custom homescreen using several different plugins... very custom. Should I start over from scratch with WM5, or will most of it port over to WM5? BTW, I had a SMT5600/SPV500 and now have the Cingular 2125/SPV600, if that helps. Thanks in advance! |

So is there a new latest and greatest Windows Smartphone in a candybar type configuration with a GOOD joystick for games (one that also allows multi-keypress) and is quad band? My joystick is falling apart, and I'm considering an upgrade, but haven't a clue what may have been released in the past 6 months or so. Anyways... any ideas or comments? |

Thunderbird is very good at filtering spam once you teach it... I know a few people who do a LOT of emails.... who receive many thousands a day... most of them agree that POPFile is the best, and I've heard that it's better than 98-99% once you train it. For the mobile, I have a seperate, private email, and I rarely if ever give it out. It's unpublished, and will remain so. I've yet to get a single spam email on my phone, well except for Cingular SMSing me. |

Actually, I'm pretty sure that it does that by design.... if you lock your phone, then you're keeping it from doing stuff accidentally... i.e. accidental speed dialing, turning on the backlight while in a purse or pocket and draining your battery, etc... I mean, if you left it in your pocket all day, and you find that every time it's moved the backlight came on and drained half of your battery away, you'd be upset about that.... right? |

Despite getting one or two pieces of dust that eventually must have stuck to the seal, my SMT 5600 hasn't had any real dust issue like the C500s... I take it everywhere I go, and work in some pretty dusty environments. I'd say just learn to disassemble it, and then clean it. If you can find some single sided spongey/foam tape about 1/32" thick, put it along the border of the inside... that may cure the problem. I have a replacement fascia that I'm going to do this with when I can find the proper stuff to make a gasket for the lcd.... |

I have a SMT 5600. I have a few comments/suggestions/observations: 1) It would be nice if there were a Timed mode. This game is screaming "time challenge" to me. 2) My battery indicator/signal strength indicator often blinks on-screen while this game is in play. 3) When closing the game, it returns to the menu, but the image of the game is still in the top bar... 4) A map editor or ability to create new maps would be nice. 5) The volume is LOUD even at 2 notches. Save the volume from the last time it was set... That's about all I can think of at the moment. At level 7 right now. Thanks for the cool free game! |

Send it in and get it fixed. They'll most likely make you pay for it... it would be cheaper than getting a new one I imagine. |

Audiovox has not released the ROM for the SMT5600. Any SMT 5600 ROMs that might be out there are not official and are considered pirated. Perhaps you could send the phone back to Audiovox. |

There is a version of Descent for Smartphone? lol.... I used to love that game... Anyways, welcome back! Hope to see the original Battlezone up... A cool project would be porting Raptor to the smartphone... I breifly asked the Scott Host if he could do one, but he's been too busy... it would be cool if someone got permission from him to do one... |

QUOTE(drblow @ Mar 6 2005, 07:50) If you haven't seen new games for the smartphone then you simply haven't been looking hard enough. How could you have missed Virtual Mobile Pool, or Flux challenge - both released in the last couple of months? With those 2 games on my phone I hardly have time for anything else. There are new games coming out all the time on handango, clickgamer etc. Yes, I bought Virtual Mobile Pool, and Flux Challenge plays like crap on the SMT5600/C500... Have you ever tried to steer and accellerate at the same time? Other than that, there haven't been any exciting titles for a while. |

Whoah! Thaty CYON looks great! I can't wait till a really nice slider or candy bar that can take the SMT 5600 off it's throne. |

That's funny. Orange the provider? lol. They don't even have service in the US. You'd think they'd be more likely to provide this kind of expo in Europe or Australia. |

You need to use the international dialing code... 011 + international number. I SMS australia and europe and have no problems... |

Yeah, at this point, I'd wait for the C550, and what other phones come out. I'm sure with the popularity of the C500, there will be a number of new smartphones rushed to the market... hopefully a few will be contenders. |

I also think it would look better like that and it wouldn't be a step backward... You have plenty of screen real-estate, and it seems cramped the way it is. It would be nice if it could remember what units were last selected. I do end up using this a few times a day as well... |
