I am trying to hard reset my C500 running the latest ROM (albeit the french version) I have followed the instructions as posted on all the sp sites but it does nothing. Anyone any ideas? Plus, will it put the phone back to the earlier ROM that it came istalled with, or put it back to the French one installed but wipe all the data off it. Thanks for your help Phil |

Will it also lose any ROM updates that have been done and revert back to factory installed ROM? |

I have found that when I playback a video clip that I have recorded on the C500, the playback is very choppy and jerky. I have made sure there are no other applications running, but this does not help. Any suggestions? |

A relative of mine had a similar experience with T-Mobile. He was contacted and advised to change plans as it would save money and add texts and minutes. When the bills came through it was actually more and the texts and minutes were not as diecribed. He contacted them and cancelled his contract in the basis of "misleading information" Best thing to do is contact them, explain it to them and either get them to put you on the plan you thought you were on, and if still no joy...cancell it. Another option is to contact OFTEL (i think they govern mobiles as well as landlines?) and get them involved. Don't back down though, this is what they expect you to do and will try every trick in the book to make it difficult. The only problem you have with the sales girl is that it was verbal, unless you have it on a receipt or statement at the time of purchase, and at the end of the day it could be your word against hers. At the end of the day - BE PERSISTENT AND GET WHAT YOU WANT |

Press and hold down the green telephone key. The speakerphone will then activate. Phila67 |

I could be wrong, but I am sure I read somewhere that it can be caused by the difference between WM2003 and a Symbian phone and incompatability issues? Have a look on the Mobil;uck website. There is a forum on there that is really usefull |

I recently updated to the latest French ROM. Whilst everything else works a treat once changed to English, I have lost all my settings for WAP, GPRS and MMS. I tried getting them from the orange site, but the promised text message with settings never arrived. Does anyone know where I can get the settings without having to ring orange and go through it all on the phone? Cheers :?: |

I had exactly the same problem and initially thought it was a problem with the phone. The problem ended up being the time on the PC and time on the phone were out by one hour (summertime savings). When you sync with the PC, the phone also syncs to the PC's time. Check the time on your PC and I would guess it is an hour out. Change it to the right time and your problem should be sorted Cheers |

I would take it up with Orange about the Try Card etc. Sound a bit suspct if you ask me. Presumably the phone was bought as new. I read somewhere that phones that are sent back for wahatever reason, are recycled and resold? and if so, you may have one of these and things have not been reloaded before they have shipped it. On the other hand it could all be very innocent, but I would certainly be on to them about it. |

There is a suite of software called ClearVue. This includes viewers for Word, Excel, Powerpoint and PDF files, and an image viewer. I have it for my C500 and it works fine. Ypou cannot edit the files, only view them Phil |

I had to supply an email address and the application was sent this way. The application has to be loaded from your PC with active sync connected to your phone. This then loads the app on your phone. I have loaded it on minbe and it works 100% Phil |

I ended up emailing the development team at orange and had them email me a decert application specific to my IMEI number. Once I had emailed them I got the application within n hour. Download it to your PC and with your phone connected and active sync running, just install it to your phone. Much better than the website way as it allows you to lock and unlock your phone whenever you want Heres the email address: developers@orange.co.uk When you email them, you must give them the following details: Name: Mobile Number: Daytime contact: Daytime Email: IMEI Number Hope this helps Phil |

I have just had the same problem. Emailed them my details and within 1 hour I got the application back...and it worked. I have to say that having had contracts with all of the operators in the past, Orange do seem to be the best at sorting out any issues Phil  |
