This also drives me nuts. Can be on "Vibrate" and it still does this, which is crazy to say the least. So thought I would *bump* this up. |

No pin, and it definately does not restart the phone radio, stays with the little 'x' until I go into coms and hit the flight-mode off button. Hmmm...was hoping this was an ill-thought out feature and not a bug on my particular phone! |

Hey all, Seems if I hold down my power button to turn my TyTn off, the radio turns off just before the device itself does (turns to an 'x' just before the screen goes off)...and when I restart the radio is still off. If I reset using the reset button in the little hole, no problem the radio comes back on. Is this by design? I find it annoying as its an extra step to get up and running after rebooting... |

i've had this issue too. I think I have narrowed it down to having the 'today plugin' of SPB Pocket Plus enabled. I have disabled the today plugin and I think it has solved the problem. I will do some more tests and let you guys know how it goes. I have SPB Pocket Plus and the "today plugin" on and haven't had this issue... |

I'd like to get rid of the tray icons, but don't necessarily want a program for it...any ideas? |

Hey All, Any ideas where I could find something to get rid of the battery icon and wireless icon in the tray at the bottom of the homescreen? Tried searching but seem to get unrelated posts! Thanks... |

QUOTE(antlane @ Jan 25 2006, 12:20) Is there any way of setting the reminder / new message notification volumes separately to the system volume? I'd like to have quiet notifications but still keep the system volume high. It's so easy to do on my C500! I want the opposite, a quiet phone but then LOUD alarms (that's what alarms are for after all... ) Thanks in advance... |

QUOTE(adchaffey @ Jan 18 2006, 13:49) OK. Just tested it now and it doesn't work. Surely that's a pretty obvious thing for the phone to do! Unless maybe I'm also missing something here!! I think you are checking your POP email, and not syncing with an Exchange Server. I signed up with 4smartphone and sync all the time, and all changes I make on my Wizard are reflected on the server, contacts, appointments, and emails. Even the fact that I have read a message, so all in all it works great. If you are simply checking your pop mailbox, you are not syncing. Good luck! |

Well, I am now having the "no devices detected problem". I used to be able to sync with no problem, but I had to change domains on my laptop, which reset everything. ActiveSync works again (had to set up a new partnership) but WMP10 doesn't, any ideas? Thanks! |

to remove it I just file explored to startup and deleted it, and then to the folder and deleted that (had to restart and do it again to get all the files). I don't know about speeding things up but my GPRS works slightly better than before, only resetting 10 times a day instead of 20! #$%*&*$&%@#$%!!!! |

I just turn "sleep" it with a quick push to the power button, all the keys are locked except power that way and not too likely to push that. |

Is this not the case then? It works every time I test it, smartdialing on - no dialing from contacts, smartdialing off- can dial from contacts. Or am I doing something else wrong? |

Yes, just tried the built in alarm and it works, but unfortunately you can't set the volume! Now, I don't know about you but I use my device with the volume either at the first stop, or off completely...no good for an alarm. Ah well...I used to use CityTime for SmartPhone which was fantastic, hope they come out with a PocketPC WM5 version soon. Thanks for the advice in any case... |

Even if I have just soft rebooted, once the unit is in sleep mode (power touched briefly) not a single alarm goes off. I still get notifications for new emails etc. but no alarms (well, no SPBTime alarm, I haven't tested the built in alarms). |

When I have Smart Dialing enabled I am unable to initiate a call from the contacts list...the first attemt of pressing the green call button or the call soft-key results in the phone flashing to the dialer screen for just a second then back to contacts. Further attempts do nothing. This is the case from within a contact also, not just when trying to dial the default number. If I then turn Smart Dial off, I can call from contacts again without even soft-booting. Annoying to say the least! Anyone else have this problem? |

I have a Qtek 9100 on an Orange sim and it works fine. They sent me a text to get me on the network, and then all you have to setup for GPRS is the access point name"orangeinternet" and leave everything at the default. I was on PAYG and so got unlimited GPRS for a day for 1 pound - BUT THEY TRICK YOU WITH THIS - you have to call 450 EVERY morning before doing any connecting and choose it as an addon. Can't remember the menu combination, but its add things to your account, add services, then unlimited orange web. Good luck, Mark QUOTE(porkpie @ Nov 22 2005, 16:56) I think I might get the Vario on u-fix and still use my Orange SIM (have a very good deal with them at the moment) but I was just wondering how easy it would be to set the phone up to use it with my Orange sim? I'd get the handset unlocked but when it comes to other things - would it be easier to flash it with the Kjam ROM or do it manually? Cheers, Oli |

Damn, the Cingular version looks great! Any ideas to when I could get one? Was going to buy the iMate, but this looks much nicer (well, as far as I can tell from the teeny screenshot) |
