hey just wondering once you had painted it how did u make the feel of the phone the same as it was originally? was it the paints you used?
*
I used Tamiya acrylic paints for models. If you want a lasting painting you must paint each piece several times, waiting the recommended drying time, and finish with several layers of transparent lacquer.

Anyway this paint is more sensible to scratches and so, you should be delicate with your phone once painted.

Well, I don't took pictures of the process. I thought it was not necessary since there is a guide right here at MoDaCo:

How do you guys go about painting around the screen? what do you use to mask it?
*
There is no spoon... errrr.... sorry... I mean, there was no screen biggrin.gif

The phone was dismantled entirely. The front piece is indeed made of two pices, the main one and a screen frame which is mounted over it.

Beautiful!  =D>

How did you get that Ferrari logo on the phone? Is it just a sticker?
*
Thanks, pzee.
As for the logo... yes and no. It was printed over a printable water decal paper from SuperCal.

Since my SPV E200 was a bit scratched, and with lost portions of paint on a button, I decided to paint it and to change its look at the same time. I've seen the Sharp GX25 Ferrari Edition and decided to make something similar with my E200.

Here you can see the original pieces of the E200 fully dismantled:

Once dismantled I used sandpaper to remove the old paint and then I used spray cans of Tamiya painting, these paintings are used to paint scale models.

This picture shows the pieces already painted:

And finally, the finished Voyager "Ferrari Edition" wink.gif:

Now, who is next?

Just in case any body else (in addition to me) talking spanish around here, I modified some of the Futurama 1.2 screens trnaslating the text to spanish.

BLaDe001, I hope this is ok. If there is any problem, just tell me and I'll remove the attachments.

BLaDe001 has updated the download area with a working version of the "Futurama 1.2 skin installer" file. Since it can be now downloaded without problems I'll stop to share it.

Thanks BLaDe001, for the great skin.

has nobody got a good installer they can post? i really want this theme.

I managed to download the Futurama 1.2 installer from e mule. Since we have no reply from blade001 and the file has not been fixed yet, I have it shared on both e mule and Bit Torrent. The links are:

Link Bit Torrent

Link e mule (remove the leading "http://")

P.S.: Blade001, if you fix the file on Modaco download area, please let me know, so I can stop sharing and let the download from the "official" site wink.gif

I'm having the same problem. The installer ".exe" seems to be truncated. I even sent a private message to blade, telling he about the problem, but I had no answer... sad.gif
