Had a feeling this was going to be the only way forward. I am just not keen to go through re-installing all the apps I have. Oh well, time to bite the bullet I think Cheers Did the hard reset work for you? I am experiencing Bluetooth problems on my Qtek 8310 and another member said that a hard reset did not fix the problem on their C600. In my case, I can no longer connect to anything via Bluetooth and even a USB connection to Activesync does not work. Thanks in advance! |

Hi all! I've been looking all over the internet but can't find a solution for my problem. I own an Orange SPV C600 for somewhat longer than a year now and never really had any problems with it besides the occasional hangup. I used to be able to synchronize all my data with Outlook through Activesync (usb cable) but that stopped working a couple of weeks ago. When I press synchronize on my phone nothing happens. I tried to remove my partnership but that didn't help. Here are the things I tried: - Hard reset - Connecting through Bluetooth - Using a different computer and different Activesync versions and also Vista with Windows Mobile Device Center. I have no clue what to do next because nothing seems to help. I can't update the ROM since I have no access with Activesync. Could anyone please help me or point me in the right direction? Also, I don't know if this has anything to do with my problem but whenever I pull out the battery from the back and turn the device back on the time is set to september 2005. This never happened to me before... I have the same problem with my Qtek 8310 with the addition of no longer being able to connect to anything via Bluetooth. Bluetooth will turn on, but Activesync won't connect and my headset will no longer connect either! Has anyone else had this problem and managed to fix it? My date/time also resets when I remove the battery. |

I finally got a hold of a ROM that installed flawlessly in the 8310 that I bought from Mad Monkey Boy. The ROM Ver. 2.5.312.1 with the new Comm Mgr and support for push email .The file is called 8310.zip (33 MB) and can be downloaded for 7 days starting 07/06/06. Unzip and run the installation program which will guide you with the installation process. Note that the install takes a long time Approx 8 min. Be patient. You can get the file here: http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?acti...28E007754DF0A62 This file 8310.zip was placed there by the folks at Sound Solutions that apparently are the distributors of the Qtek 8310 that were sold by MMB. I hope this helps a couple folks Can someone please post the zip file or upload it somewhere and provide the link? I believe my supplier was also a Sound Solutions distributor. Thanks! |

As far as I know, Sprite Backup only can backup the data saved on the main memory of your device including your Personal data, third party appications and settings and also the registry. But it cannot get the access to the ROM so there is no way to back ROM of your device. Cheers Thanks! |

Mobile Internet Explorer now has far better scrolling support (pressing 2 and 8 rapid scrolls a page at a time), the comms manager is improved to allow you to switch gprs off when its not needed, it seems quicker to connect to my WLAN (like 3 secs now instead of 30+), IE now supports frames, bluetooth stack actually talks to all my friends phones now instead of bombing, media player seems a little quicker...this is all I've spotted so far. If you'd like these things then go for it...but if it ain't broke, don't fix it. A2DP Bluetooth stereo is not supported by default but can be enabled fairly easily using the attached Tornado_A2DP.zip package from XDA-Developers.com, but please note again - I am not responsbile if it doesn't work or worse - it breaks your phone! Matt Can the A2DP package be installed without upgrading the ROM? Should I choose to upgrade the ROM, will Sprite back-up my phone's original ROM should I want to revert to the old ROM after I upgrade? Thanks. |

Does anyone have a clue as to when the QTEK ROM will come out? If it isn't even on the horizon, can I use the i-mate ROM? Also, if the i-mate ROM screws up my device, can I use Sprite Backup to restore the original QTEK ROM? Sorry for all the questions and thanks for the help! |

QUOTE(Eminos @ Feb 19 2006, 23:52) Works fine. I have no idea what the changes/updates are though. I lost Swedish T9 / characters with this update, but that was expected, I will manage to do without it 'til the proper new update comes. Pain in the ass to reinstall all software now .. /E Does the newer German ROM have the e-mail push feature? Also, is A2DP included? Thanks. |

QUOTE(DarkJedi @ Feb 19 2005, 03:10) here here. i'm just starting to have the problem. audiovox said that i could send it to them, to have them clean it. i'm like, i can do that, and who's to say that it wont come back??? I sent mine in to Audiovox a few weeks after purchase. They cleaned it and sure enough within the same week that I received it "clean" it became dusty again. I called them again only to have them tell me they are aware of the problem and are working on a permanent solution. I feel as though the rep. only said that to get me off the phone. Do you think we could contact HTC and have them repair our handsets instead of going through Audiovox? Does anyone have any contact info for HTC? Thanks. |
