hello everybody,

I have found a lot of entries about editing the t9 dictionary or trials to remove words from it, BUT my question is : is it possible to copy a personal t9 dictionary (to another c500, for example).

I tried to copy the t9aw.udb file from storage/application data/ to the storage card, reseted the phone and copied back the file.

 surprise : it seems that a NEW t9aw.udb has been created for I don't find my words.

any idea ?

thanks

Try 0416 instead of 0816. It seems that the T9 dll is for "Portuguese - Brazil". No idea on how different the two languages are, but I've tested the cab in my previous post on my C500 and it works.
If you want a cab for yours, let me know.

EDIT: Don't delete anything - just add yours.

the difference between portuguese and brazilian portuguese is not important.
as long as I can use the accented characters ....
so long
thank you

Please install this ONLY if you have SPV C500 from Orange UK. Otherwise PM me with the list of languages you have on the phone.

well,
the list of languages is today (after installing portuguese) :
0409, 0410, 0407, 040C, 0413, 0816, 040A
previously 0406 was on the phone (a french orange spv c500).
I deleted 0406 but I noticed that after each reset, the value 0406 re.appears in the list HKLM\t9 input method\LDBs, WITH the new one (0816 portuguese) at the bottom.
Do we have to change the value HKLM\MUI\available, adding 0816 Portuguese ?
Thanks a lot !

I was thinking if somebody could help me...
I've already gone through the steps suggested to add a new T9 language to my SPV C500 - in my case it's portuguese - but it doesn't seem to work... I mean, it does appear at my T9 languages listing (when editing text) but when I change it, the keys just don't work. No text can be entered at all...
What have I done wrong?...
I would really appreciate if someone could come up with a CAB for me...
Thank you!

sad.gif I have exactly the same problem.
I have an Orange spv c500, stored the t9portugueseldb.dll in :
\storage\application data\t9,
made the right changes in the registry (I do think !) but can't write anything, the keyboard doesn't work although portuguese appears in the list of available t9 languages.
socorro !
