No changelog unfortunately, scientific calculator is back tho, hehe!

It will probably be online today, although without Opera removed, as this is a little intricate and I want to save it for a future release with a couple of other new features. So MCR02 will be a very minor update to MCR01.

P

Good I liked MCR01 but here we go again with a new upgrade. When will it ever stop !!!!

MCR2 will be available today or tomorrow, based on DTHJ6. Changes will be as previous ROM, except Opera will be removed to a CAB.

P

Did you say based on DTHJ6. What are the changes from 5 to 6 ? The MCR01 was a keeper for me - best rom I have used to date with manilla working well on it and storage about 36 meg free.

In another thread I have also stated that scrolling within mail especially is hap-hazzard. In general on my two omnias I get scrolling problems in exchange. All other areas seem to be fine though

I have hard reset my omnia and re-flashed. I may go back too

I am having srolling problems in mail with this rom. It appears to select and highlight the text rather than scroll which it does intermittently. Usually just from top to bottom at lightning speed.

Anyone else see this ? I am going to flash again and see if it disappears as well as test on my other Omnia.

If it persists back to DXHI3 which I had no problems with

I am on HI3, everything works great except I cannot see my exchange e-mail account. It says no accounts when you select the widget yet also shows 4 unread exchange e-mails.

Can create a new pop account which it picks up but can't seem to redirect it to the outlook account

Anyone help sort this. otherwise great addition to the i900

** sorted by a fresh install - now working as intended **

If you look at some final step of the upgrade exe files, you can see it downloading some usb boot sectors. All phone completly death was caused by corrupt/mismatch version with the pda boot. It can be repair by downloading the boot sectors agian, via JTAG.
If anyone have ideas working with JTAG, please contact me via PM. Thanks.

Secany

Can you provide more information on the corrupt mismatch versions to help people avoid bricking their devices whilst updating with incompatible versions in the PDA Boot area.

What is and is not compatible !!!

Done

On the latest roms DXHI1 & 2 it should work straight off. For older roms the start menu color may apear black on black.

To resolve this you may need to change the color of your today start menu text. That's done by editing the registry HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Colors. Variables 4 and 39 are the main ones, 39 being start menu color and 4 being Today item text colors. 4 should be added or changed to FF FF FF 00 (white), but you can have it whatever you want (00 00 00 00 is black).

The best black theme I have seen is FlatBlack.tsk a black and white theme which works very well. Place in the Windows directory and select from today themes. I am not allowed to upload file but I guess you will be able to find it at XDA-Developers or through google.

Regards

Im using HI1/XXHI2 phone at the moment.
Xtra GPS = On,
Powersave mode = off
HSDPA = On

moderate consistent usage. On HH3 got 40 hours, now moved to above and get nearly three days 72 Hours. Will try Powersave mode on to see what effect this has but very happy with the combo above. Signal Strength could be better, but as mentioned in another thread 'what you see is not necessarily what you get.'

I can make and receive calls / data with no bars quite happily.

PDA DXHI1 with XXHI2 phone is what I would consider to be the best combination to date for stability (lack of Bugs), performance, battery life and signal quality

There is only 1 Samsung Service centre in the UK for Windows Mobile devices - SBE Ltd Ashford (told this by Samsung). If my experiences are anything to go buy, i600 failed on upgrade to Wm6 and took 6 weeks to be returned as WM5. Told definitively there is no WM6 for i600 and many , many calls were never returned. Later after web search (Modaco) upgraded to WM6 in 10 Mins with no problems

Simple answer don't get your device bricked !!!!

Phone part is i900XXHI2 Italian which seems to improve reception and perhaps battery. H3 PDA still solid and most stable

noticably improved reception and too early to tell about battery although it seems at least as good as H3
