I already have Agile Messenger and it works great, but it connects via the internet apn so it charges me. I have WAP Unlimited, so i'd really like to use the WAP version of Yahoo Messenger.

I'll give Opera a try...smile.gif

Yahoo Messenger via WAP does not work with the integrated Internet Explorer... I have put my simcard in a Nokia 3510i and it works without any problems... so i think the browser is the problem. Is there and browser I could install on my SPV C500?

Many thanks,

Valentin

Why don't you try out Agile Messenger? It supports MSN, Yahoo, AOL and also ICQ. Take a look at www.agilemobile.com smile.gif I use it for Yahoo! messenger.. It's also free for Smartphones and Symbian phones!

It is also possible via Bluetooth, if connected to the PC via ActiveSync. First of all, make sure that on the PC, in ActiveSync > Options > Rules, the Connection option is set to "The Internet". After that, on your C500 go to Settings > Data Connections and select Passthrough connection. Be sure you are connected to the pc via ActiveSync, otherwise the Passthrough option will not appear.

Many thanks!

Here you go, m8! Just unzip it, transfer the .cab to your phone and execute it in File Manager or Smart Explorer! After this, the Nokia Style should work properly.

You have to use RJ Shortcut plugin in order for it to work properly...

I was only able to find a 256 MB, but i'm happy with it! (Mini-SD are not so easy to find in Romania). I could buy a 512 MB, but i had to wait 2 weeks for it..

Thanks everyone for your suggestions!

What is the maximum Mini-SD capacity that the C500 will support? Will it be wise or not to buy a 512 MB card?

Thanks!

Hello. I'm also from Romania and using the SPV C500. Another romanian MoDaCo member (tudor) told me it's not very wise to update because you'll lose your warranty. Also, the update from Orange UK does not contain the settings for internet, wap and mms, so you'll have to send them via OTA from the orange romania website (www.orange.ro - produse si servicii - servicii online - setari automate). The UK update also does not include Romanian T9. Maybe tudor will see your post and send you the Romanian T9 (he said he has it) in case you decide to update.

I don't want to scare you or anything, but i've decided not to update, because of the warranty problem. But, the thing you can do is to decert your phone... in case you want to install unsigned applications.. you'll need this for most of the homescreens here on MoDaCo.

Regards

mcapiro: Yeah, that's what i've also noticed. Now i'm keeping it set to download only the first 5000 bytes. But ... if i get a longer message and i'm interested in reading it all, i've got a problem...

Who else has this problem? Does anyone know how to solve this?

Regards

Oh, and another thing, under Messaging, my pop3 account is simply named "POP3". Can I change its name? I don't like it appearing like that..
