QUOTE(awarner [MVP] @ May 13 2005, 02:16) Create new folders in In-box You can for email via Outlook Even if the phone is switched off; at the time of alarm set it comes to life and gives the alarm You need the operating system to use the alarm Can play Polyphonic Ring tones Why use polyphonic when you can use the real sound and not an emulated one? One time selection is reqd for SMS delivery reports Fixed in newer phones and the dodgy 2003 rom Can copy sent messages on SIM Why copy messages onto the SIM when you can copy to the PC with unlimited storage. Sorry folks, I did not mean to hurt your feelings. By the way thanks for altering my ideas about the SMART |

Sometime I wonder if I can really call my MPx200 a Smartphone!!! Some of the really usefull features are available on the regular ( NOT SO SMART ) phones. These are Create new folders in In-box Even if the phone is switched off; at the time of alarm set it comes to life and gives the alarm Can play Polyphonic Ring tones One time selection is reqd for SMS delivery reports Can copy sent messages on SIM These are missing on the SMART one. |

QUOTE(awarner [MVP] @ May 10 2005, 03:36) It's not possible as far as I am aware is it really worth saving to SIM as you can always save to PC if needed with a 3rd party app like SMS Cool etc. Thanks awarner for the promptness. Its not for saving to SIM on permanent basis but as in the case of Received messages and Contacts if I change over to a new Mobile instrument where I want to transfer some of the important SMSs I had sent then its required. |

QUOTE(awarner [MVP] @ May 9 2005, 13:53) It's because there was no official 2003 ROM for the AT&T MPX200. What you see in the the band selection is how the ROM was written. The 2003 ROM that started all the current dodgy ROMs that around today was only initially designed for testing purposes and were not intended for public release. Mine is a WM2002 |

How can I copy all my sent messages (stored in the Sent Items folder) to SIM? The SIM Manager menu --> Import/Export gives the following options only 1. Contacts --> SIM 2. Inbox/SMS --> SIM 3. SIM --> Contacts |

QUOTE(ecsw @ Sep 15 2004, 03:01) I don't get it. My MPX200 is from AT&T as well and I DO have "Auto", "1900", "900/1800" in the menu. When I bought it off eBay, the seller also told me it's a tri-band. So, I can see it from the menu, I do have 900mhz then? I am pretty sure the seller told me if I want to have 900mhz, he has to upgrade to WM2003. Is this true or what? Mine also shows "Auto", "1900" and "900/1800". Why there is common selection for 900/1800??? Can someone answer |

QUOTE(awarner [MVP] @ Sep 16 2004, 09:28) Your best bet is to set it to automatic and see what happens. As I said in my second reply to this thread there were a few MPX200 phones in the early days of AT&T, that appeared to be tri-band. The onyl way to be sure you have a tri-band phone is to buy a european version like the one by Orange. There should have been some other way to confirm. If I carry my MPx200 to some place where 900 is required but when I try and it does not work then my whole buseness will get messed up without my cell. |

QUOTE(fooldramaqueen @ Feb 27 2005, 19:23) Hi! I got mine with the case too but the elastic joint between the two halves got so loose within a month of use that when I flip open the cell it gets in way of the hinge and I had to manually pull it out of way to open the cell fully. Now I have discarded it as its too tedious |

QUOTE(awarner [MVP] @ May 5 2005, 09:24) Its not for storing e-mails but SMSs only. If I want to store the sent and received SMSs as per specific group of people or subject. Is it possible to create folders within the Inbox. My Nokia6600 had this facility. |

QUOTE(dodding nonkey @ Apr 16 2005, 03:33) Kalif m8, to change the setting you are looking for I chucked my sim card in an old Nokia (a 3310 I think?) and changed it, then put it back in my mpx200. I had to change it because I wanted to ensure that SMS messages stayed on the server whilst I was out coverage for an extended period of time. Hope that helps. You may get the answer from the Service Provider |

QUOTE(roma0803 @ May 2 2005, 16:20) Can you do other things through this connection? Like browsing with IE? Otherwise it might be a firewall related issue. It takes some time for MxConverter to get the updated file without giving a clear status view. I had never tried Internet connection thru' ActiveSinc. I tried today and it was OK. Then I tried downloading upgrades fo rMxConverter and Woooshhh its YES. Thanx |
