Why copy messages onto the SIM when you can copy to the PC with unlimited storage.

It's not possible as far as I am aware is it really worth saving to SIM
as you can always save to PC if needed with a 3rd party app like SMS Cool etc.

It's because there was no official 2003 ROM for the AT&T MPX200.
What you see in the the band selection is how the ROM was written. The 2003 ROM that started all the current dodgy ROMs that around today was only initially designed for testing purposes and were not intended for public release.

I don't get it. My MPX200 is from AT&T as well and I DO have "Auto", "1900", "900/1800" in the menu.

When I bought it off eBay, the seller also told me it's a tri-band.
So, I can see it from the menu, I do have 900mhz then?
I am pretty sure the seller told me if I want to have 900mhz, he has to upgrade to WM2003. Is this true or what?

Your best bet is to set it to automatic and see what happens.
As I said in my second reply to this thread there were a few
MPX200 phones in the early days of AT&T, that appeared to be tri-band. The onyl way to be sure you have a tri-band phone
is to buy a european version like the one by Orange.

to change the setting you are looking for I chucked my sim card in an old Nokia (a 3310 I think?) and changed it, then put it back in my mpx200.  I had to change it because I wanted to ensure that SMS messages stayed on the server whilst I was out coverage for an extended period of time.  Hope that helps.

CellTrack for MS-Smartphone though there is no homescreen plugin yet.

Can you do other things through this connection? Like browsing with IE? Otherwise it might be a firewall related issue.

It takes some time for MxConverter to get the updated file without giving a clear status view.
