Well my speeds were still in the 300's today so I rang CS and asked to check if hsdpa was enabled. They said no, it isn't available on the lowest price £7.50 WnW package. I said that I was told it was when I signed up and that people on this forum have it. They said it is on the 12.50 WnW plus pack and wouldn't back down. Now they are saying the WnW plus pack is only on flex 25 and up ( I'm on flex 20 ). They are supposed to be ringing me back when the CS guy has spoken to their superviser. And there's me thinking I had made a good move getting away from Oranges crap customer service.

Thanks for the reply, I'm only getting just over 300 k/s so obviously I'm not getting hi speed data. Is there something in the settings somewhere to enable it? Is this a coverage thing? I've got a good 3g signal, does that mean hsdpa too?

I received my vario 2 today and am pleased with it so far. I got customer services to check Hi speed data was enabled and he said he had just switched it on for me. How can you tell on the phone that it is using hsdpa for data connections? I've connected to a website but the phone says its using 3g. Is this normal or do I have to tell the phone to use hsdpa somehow?

I had to pay £90 for the phone plus £5.99 delivery.

Thanks for the number, I just sorted out a vario 2 and new contract with them, they said they had 16 in stock if anyone else is after one.

A quick question, I just signed up for the lowest web n walk package, came to £22.50/month. I asked about limits and streaming etc, the guy wasn't sure so went and checked. He said it was good for internet and email but nothing else really, no downloads, no messaging and no streaming. Is this correct? Is anyone using these services on this web n walk package without problems?

Thanks guys, so there is no point in going to an independent or website? In the past I've had some great deals from onestopphoneshop but they don't seem to be selling the vario 2.

Long story but basically I'm returning my M3100 to O as they said I could have unlimmited data but my bill confirms I couldn't and have a hefty data bill. Now I'm looking to join T Mobile and get the Vario 2 on a web n walk tarrif. I want to spend no more than about £30/month. Who has the best deal? i.e. free headset or whatever.

I had my first bill on friday since upgrading and surprise surprise I'm not on unlimmited data as I had been told, I am on orange world access 10, 10mb for £8. I have been billed for £25 worth of data on top. When I agreed to stay with orange with a woman on retentions I said I'd like to move from orange world access 3 to orange world access 10 to get more data, she said she had a message on her screen saying about an unlimmited data pack, I said that surely that was only for people on a £75 tariff ( I'm only paying £25 ) she said she could give it to me for the same price as orange world 10 ( £8 ). I asked her a few times if she was sure and she said yes so I bit her hand off. It came as no surprise then when I got billed for all that data. I rang orange on friday and argued the toss with some asian lady who almost called me a liar but not quite. I basically threatened to leave orange, she kept saying there was nothing she could do, if I had been on all u can eat data I would have been charged £35 just for the data. Anyway, she said a supervisor from the retentions department would look into it and ring me back. Another surprise I haven't heard from them yet.

If I start typing in the address bar in PIE on my M3100, addresses I've previously entered pop up below autocomplete style. If I click on one of these to go to the required website PIE just stays at the current page, not loading the requested site. Obviously this is going to be something really simple and make me look and idiot. What am I doing wrong?

After owning the M3100 for 2 weeks and spending a lot of time playing with it I occaisionally find myself expecting PC monitors to have touch screen!. It was quite embaressing when I prodded the screen in work this week, had to pretend I was pointing at something!.

I've been wondering where this is going, from the description they gave at E3 or whatever show it was they first showed it, it does exactly what anybody can do right now by signing into xbox.com on their mobile device, but in an application form rather than through a web page.

I have this problem too, I have a 2g sandisc card. I have only just entered this into the bugs thread then noticed this post!

Bugs I've encountered so far that I can remember;

Camera - I've had the bugs listed in a post above, ie, take photo and get grey photo instead of actuall photo, also camera app closing when taking photo then remaining running preventing me from starting the camera again. I'm wondering if its a storage card issue, I have a 2 gig sandisc card and I'm wondering if it's not fast enough to write the data from the camera. I will test this later by slecting built in storage for saving photo's.

Phone not waking up - I've had this a few times, had to soft reset.

One thing that bugs me is if I start to edit a contact in portrait mode, then slide the keyboard out to enter numbers etc, frequently a lot of the fields are not there and sliding the scroll bar reveals nothing rather than the fields I want to edit. I hope I explained that sufficiently.

Oh, I should mention I have the orange version.

I'm not fussed on that line either, haven't seen a setting to disable it although there may be one.

I've just discovered after owning the phone for a week that I can't send MMS for some reason. I rang O expecting to sort it out with a Sim update but was told this wasn't the case and I need to ring them back on another phone and go through the settings, I was down the pub at the time so this was a no go. Can anyone think of what could possibly be wrong in my settings? Anyone had problems with mms since upgrading?

Got my 2g off ebay from Singapore, £50 delivered. Took 5 days to come. That is cheap for a 1 gig though.

Is it possible or can anyone work out how to change the function of some of the buttons on the M3100 which aren't listed in the ' buttons ' app in settings?. The video call button seems useless to me, when in the homescreen it just takes you to exactly the same place as the regular call button, just replacing the video call button on that screen once you get there. I would rather assign that button to speed dial to get directly to the speed dial list rather than pressing the call button then the speed dial button on the screen. Also other buttons seem to be duplicates, i.e. ok buttons everywhere. I would like to get get one button access to call history using one of these buttons I never use.

On a slightly different note I would like to put a bluetooth icon on my homescreen to turn bluetooth on/off with one click rather than opening the comm manager, selecting bluetooth, closing comm manager. I used to be able to do this on my axim x50, does anyone know how to do this?

Received my m3100 yesterday and loving it so far. Just noticed something missing though, is there no photo contacts application built in? if not is there an application anyone recommends preferably free?

I'm looking for a 2g micro sd card to go with my m3100 which will hopefully arrive today. I'm having trouble locating one. All the 2g micro sd's on ebay are from singapore. I don't want to wait a week for it to arrive.

Has anyone found somewhere with them in stock and at a decent price?

Thanks Paul, how will I know if my sim is 3g enabled? is it like gprs where you just ring orange and they send out a sim update? Am I right in thinking there isn't any extra cost in using 3g apart from paying for the data as you do with gprs?

Can someone clear up the 3g thing for me please? does the phone just connect through 3g if available and use mb of data from your bundle or if not available fall back on gprs instead? or do you have to have a separate 3g tarrif?
