Here's a great answer to the 0x80088000 error. Apparently, it's something AT&T added to PIE. This is the link from Howard Forum. The only thing is that the regedit for me doesn't stick. So, every time I have to soft reboot, I have to edit the reg. Any ideas? http://www.howardforums.com/printthread.php?t=1085384 |

The alarm had been working great. When it went of, I'd either snooze or turn off. Now, every time the alarm goes off, I don't get the "Snooze" options any more. I think I hit disable somehow. Does any one know how to re-enable the alarm turn off? Every time I turn off the phone, when it turns back on, and old alarm keeps going off. I don't have a way to turn it off. Any ideas??? |

Try hard-reset(shutdown the phone, press the blue-round key and On/Off key at the same time) If not work then try update your ROM If not work Definetely hardware problem~ I already tried to update the ROM but the updater said I have the most current version. I was trying to avoid a hard reset since all my data, etc., will be lost. I'm pretty much assuming at this point that it's a hardware issue. |

Since last Saturday, my MPX220's screen has been going haywire. It looks something like taking a magnet and putting it next to a computer monitor. It's been doing this off and on but more so than not. I'm sure you're thinking that I've dropped it or something. All I did was run an app, Agile Messenger, and changed my connection settings. I placed it on the couch and now ever since, it's been going haywire. I've deleted Agile Messenger and reset my connections. Nothing has worked. Any ideas? Could it be just as simple as the connection from the headset to the screen be bad? Any suggestions would be greatful! -Jim |

So I have yet another question... After updating the ROM, my MPX220 is set to answer when I flip open. I can't find the setting to turn that off. However, I'm looking thru the registry and came across... HKCU\Control Panel\OpenPhoneAction OpenAns is set to 1. If I change that to 0, will that turn off flip to answer? Any ideas? :?: |

QUOTE(Monolithix [MVP] @ Apr 13 2003, 14:10) Simply put the .cab into your start menu (IPSMWindowsStart Menu) over activesync on your PC. Then hit Programs and click it. It will then install like any other application Ok, so I cannot find the IPSM folder. Where is it??? I've tried to "search" for it, but every search shows nothing. |

Ok, so I was fiddling around the other day trying to install something. I was able to view Hidden Files and Folders then but I can't find them now. I've gone to Control Panel, Folders, View Hidden and System Folders. But when I browse to my phone, I don't see them any more. I was looking for the folder called something like IPSM. Even if I do a search for the file, nothing. Any ideas? -Jim jimcvit@gmail.com |

Ok, so I upgraded my phone to the Asian ROM. I was able to remove to links from the top quick start. But there's also 2 other programs from the homescreen that I cannot remove. Any suggestions on how to do this. I'm new at this and can't figure it out. I've tried just to delete the programs from the Windows folder, but of course, they're write protected. Also, any ideas how to change the font? It's kinda small. Any help would be appreciated. jimcvit@gmail.com |

The one I can't seem to find is the little Internet Explorer "click" type when navigating the phone. It's the little click under "Menu" I want to get rid of. Any idears? |

Hi, While I cannot unlock any phone, I would like to give you this advice.... First, make sure you have a copy of your receipt. Send a copy of this to simunlockcode@cingular.com and to latrelle.mccarty@cingular.com She is the one that fields the emails and will advise you that simunlockcode@cingular.com is not monitored. But it is. Also, send her your IMEI number and reciept and the reason as to why you want your phone unlocked. Also, I wrote to marc.lefar@cingular.com He's the CEO. Of course, the email was very professional. Not a demanding type. Hopefully, after several emails, it will be done for free. Although it may take a while. That's what I did. Eventually, it happened. That's all....... jumpie |

Ok, so I've been using my phone for several weeks now thanks to an awesome Cingular manager who actually got me the unlock code to use it. Don't ask, it was an extremely cumbersome process. So anyway, my phone has been working like a charm. I can hear unless I'm in a very loud environ, oh, i don't go to bars ;-), anyway....so far, the only issue I have is iTap....I'm trying to figure out a way for the phone to remember words I chose to use. example: instead of typing beer, I prefer to use the word "reeb". I know, it sounds childish. I have to continually change over to single letters instead of it "remembering". Is there a way to customize the dictionary or something? anyone with suggestions? thanks! |

Question..... Where do I update the SMS relay number on the MPX220? For example, on my current phone the service center number is 15133400140.. Where do I put that in the MPX200 so I can send SMS? I found out how to update the MMS settings, but I still can't find the SMS one. Any ideas? Thanks! -Jim jimcvit@yahoo.com |
