So doing this will not touch the 16GB internal or my 4GB Micro SD?

Just double checking. rolleyes.gif

Hey guys,

Could someone confirm that if I buy this phone on an unlimited data plan (UK network) will I be able to hook it up to a laptop and use the unlimited data via the laptop? Ideally I need to be able to use remote desktop connection on the laptop using the inclusive data on the mobile contract. Is this possible? Unfortunately I way behind the game in what you can do with these connections now :-s

Thanks

Well I am not 100% but "unlimited" may not exactly mean that. Check with your network provider first.

Cant really paste any of my info from work as its company confidential but this artcicle backs it up

http://www.mobiletoday.co.uk/Orange_gets_e...sung_Omnia.html

Our local Samsung person has said part of the terms of the deal is that Orange software cant be installed onto the phone

Yep. Got mine Tuesday and can confirm it is 16GB version and there is no Orange branding. I have not tried another SIM in it but have read on here that it is also unlocked to any network.

Got mine on a free upgrade on Dolphin 35.

I am so happy with this phone. biggrin.gif

Can someone help me. I need to find out how much memory I have in my new handset... I tried Memory in programs but it is only showing me ram... cant see how much memory there is out of the 8gb/16gb I have... It displays my 8gb Storage card correctly tho.

Start>Settings>System>Memory>Storage Card

If you then press the little black arrow next to My Storage you can view memory card and phone storage. My Storage is the Internal Memory.

Was the camera on Night mode? Only camera issue I have had is with the flash being to bright for close up pictures.

CamerAware - i900 skin coming shortly - even if you don't buy the speed camera option, it's great for online tracking, seeing your GPS stats and earning points with Navizon! - details - http://www.cameraware.net/cameraware3.cab

Does this work on the Omnia yet? Only I installed it but it does not seem to work.

All I get is:

An error massage cannot be displayed because an optional resource assembly containing it cannot be found.

Hi, Has anyone managed to get logmein to work using the Omnia and if so would you be able to share your settings.

I know it worked with the Touch Diamond but was just wondering if it works with the Omnia.

Cheers in advance.

Right, I've got Samsung 1 running, but from the front screen the phonebook doesn't work
It just disappears, the phone doesn't hang just the icon goes and the X in the top right goes as well.

Since you've just got it maybe a hard reset might be an idea? Seems to clear a few problems for others I've seen.

Well the phone is sorted now, new phone can now send and receive. Funny thing is, I can still make calls on my old phone with the old sim card. Calls and texts don't come through but outgoing works fine.

BOT It all seems to work fine now. Must of just been me. rolleyes.gif

I was playing around with this last night and took some pictures of my daughter. Was thinking the camera wasnt working at first and then realised that it takes the picture automatically when the subject smiles. biggrin.gif

Its great. I had face recognition on as well as smile and 2 little boxes come up. When Grace (my daughter) smiled it snapped away without a button press. cool. cool.gif Well she liked it rolleyes.gif

I was just wondering if you could remove stuff from it or add stuff. The tocca widget seems alot more customisable.
