just got a hold of a m700 for myself but cant stand the orange battery icon. i know you can remove it but i like to have a battery icon in the top of the screen.

if anyone knows how to revert to standard batt icon that would be great. if not can anyone recommend a good battery program that would do the same.

thanks for all your help guys

When looking on expansys.com i spotted that they are selling the qtek 8500 with tomtom 6 so does that mean there is a version out that supports smartphones now?

take a look: either use the link or got to expansys and click on smartphones and qtek 8500 and its at the bottom.

I've noticed a few times that while locked, if you press the left softkey to wake it up it will sometimes open the calendar!.
if you press it a second time yo uget the "press Unlock to unlock" screen as you would expect,.
It's almost as if it forgets that it's locked and opens the calendar before remembering!
anyone else seen this?

i have the same problem on my m600. Ive found no soloution yet!

I've searched high and low, on the phone, in the manual, and online, and can't find any information if the default photo save location can be set to the SD card instead of the internal memory. It's bugging me I can't use my 4Gb card to it's full potential.

Any help would be much appreciated!

hi you need to load your camera up then in the bottom right tap the button with screwdriver and spanner on it.

then tap tools

then tap options

then tap general

then on screen you have a save to box which you can select storage card.

then click ok

then click ok again and snap away.

hope that helps

hi all i had a problem with my c600 when trying to upgrade my c600 to the latest rom my pc froze and my phone would only boot to the three colour screen unsure.gif

after abit of playing about i found someone mentioning that the altered the header numbers, this didnt work with the orange rom, i then aquired the imate and changed the header to orange and then increased every number in ther version and secondary version by one.

that worked!! but now i had the imate rom on which thought i had wifi!! (on closer inspection found it said driver not loaded) though the rom was unstable so i cid unlocked it.

this then allowed me to put the orange rom with the original header file.

no the fone is fine.

phew thought i had a paperweight.

just thought id post incase anyone else gets this problem.

After looking through the net I found programs that run on strong arm procesors but beleive this does not suit the the prophet..

this one works on my prophet. range is not great but its a start. the beta allows 10 days trial mode.

QUOTE(philipmbarnes @ Apr 14 2006, 12:16)
Hi all,

Would anyone know how to transfer all my text messages (several hundred) from my old C500 to my new C600 except by copying them to my SIM card from the C500, swapping the SIM, then copying them off my SIM card onto my C600? (I'm guessing this will take ages....)

Any ideas appreciated!

Phil

hi i used a program called jeyo mobile companion. Load it up with your c500 plugged in and export all your texts to a file on your computer then uplug your c500 and plug in your c600

(its reported as not compatible with windows mobile 5 but what happens is it gives you an error on the device, you click quit and then it half has comm manager open just dont press anything on your phone and your ready)

click on import and select your file, then choose text messages and click export and your phone should receive them.

Any questions just ask.

hope that helps

QUOTE(OG @ Mar 23 2006, 17:44)
Hi,

The old regedit will not work as the HTC certificate it was signed with has now been revoked.

The reason for this is that it enabled Microsoft's/operator security model to be bypassed altogether, leaving it open to malicious exploits in the future (and also enabled the phone to be 'tampered' with for things such as SIM unlocking, etc).

Registry editing potentially caused increases in support calls from 'not-so-experienced' users messing up the registry and asking for handset replacements.

Cheers,

O.

thanks always worth an ask. ill stick with mobile registry editor

1. You have to setup a partnership with your phone through usb first
2. Then go into your bluetooth settings and add an incoming port.
3. Tell activesync to watch connections on that port (pc)
4. Pair your phone and the services screen should say activesync.
5. Tick that box and click done
6. Now with bluetooth on go to activesync on phone and click connect via bluetooth.
