It IS indeed the switching of the profiles that causes this bug. (Or is it a feature... wink.gif )
Anyway, I found a rather stupid solution that works for me: I changed the reminder/initvol to 1 OF THE SILENT PROFILE....

So, if set the phone to SILENT, everything is quiet, only the reminder will give a (very modest) sound. I set it to some soft beep and I'm happy with it.

QUOTE(nonker @ Jun 29 2007, 19:59) *
This looks like just the thing, forgive my ignorance but how do I change the 6 to an eight as my vario does not allow me to choose com8. The file appears as a RAR archive and I don't know how to change the .xml.

Thanks for any help

O D-d-d-Dear, Piglet would say... what if you look up FIVE posts in this same thread, yes, the one from wierni...
It has a little attachment......

Use the search function. Is already free since the first day; only have to email, or download the cab from Modaco.

Good AND polite letter. Would surprise me if you get a good and polite answer back!
Anyway, nice to hear it solved your problem!

Same here. Install works fine, plugin shows at the homescreen (I took the liveexample file); first press on "Play" button opens the WMP, but thats it. Returning to home screen while music keeps playing: works fine, but none of the buttons seems to function after that.... Title is not showing up, no time display (other than 00:00).

Simple solution. I had the same, and figured it out. Its almost what yrreP says; check this thread: http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=255332&

Pr0sper, I DO like the simpley Grey theme, but think I found a bug. When going to calender, only the first appointment in dayview is shown. If you have more appointments, the display will not show them. If you go one appointment downwards (with the down-arrow), it will show, and hide the appointment above. It must be the theme; when I select Singularity the problem is gone.

Can you tell me with WHAT key I can access the three buttons on the right (mail/explorer/comm manager); it seems I cannot access these?

Happy Dutch user of the Singularity theme over here...!! Really fantastic skin; very bright color theme and the flower above the rocks is a must have for me!
Will keep an eye on the rest of your themes, PrOsper!

Fantastic; works great! HERO!

One last question; maybe you know this also? Every x seconds (about 30 or so; but I think its more likely the amount of kb's downloaded) Google will give me "This program needs an internet connection" or something similar.
If I'm on the wifi at home: same stuff. GPRS? Same error. But I DO have a connection? What settings can I alter to make this stop?
(Full message: This program requires a data connection, and will retry automatically. In the mean time, please check your signal strength. Error: wininetReadError [6] )

And if you turn BT on, then WiFi, connect, and turn BT off again? Will you still stay connected then?

All by all a very strange symptom; I cant think of any reason wy BT should be on (and on my WAG200 I always connect without BT; so it should be in the firmware indeed..)
But good that you solved it!

When I got my E650 there was a small BEEP after power on which prompted me to enter the pincode.

I had some troubles and had to hard-reset the phone. Everything works OK now, but that little beep has disappeared. Anyone who knows where that sound is in the registry? Cant find it.....

Maybe you already found this out, but if you have a home network, active sync CAN disable some things. For me: after connecting by USB (to sync music) every time the internet connection was lost; not only on my laptop but also all the other (2) computers who were wireless connected to the router.

Solution: Start-Settings-Connections- More-USB to PC: DISABLE the advanced networking functionality (no idea if I spell all this right; I translated it from my Dutch E650).
Did the trick for me! No more connections lost of all the pc's....

I have the WAG200G; no problem whatsoever. I disabled macadress first; broadend the range of IP# (I have 3 pc's running at home; so the range was for 3 IP; I made that 4) and voila: I could log in. After that I could log in.
I have wpa passphrase so when the 650 saw my network (ssid on) I could enter the passphrase and it connected. When I enable wifi on the phone, it automatically logs in to my home network.

Only problems I can find is Google Maps telling me about every 5 zoom levels that "this progra needs a connection blablabla" and when I press OK everything is fine. But surfing, reading mail etc.: everything ok.
