I've been using this script for a while now. The core file works by setting Cradled value to zero every minute. When nothing is cradled, no synchronization takes place. For info purposes, this TechNet article is a good start for the simple desktop solution that I'm working on which automatically disables 5-minute sync feature once a WM5 or WM6 device is connected via the USB cable. No more manual changing of registry value. |

Welcome to the forum. You will really get _setup.xml and *.001, *.002, etc files if you extract the contents of a Windows mobile CAB on your PC. That is not the way to install. What you can do instead is to transfer the CAB file to a folder on your phone then execute it from there. Transfer say to \Temp folder, open \Temp folder using file explorer, look for the CAB file then click to install. Flash vid below shows CAB transfered to \windows\Start Menu\Accessories folder... I hope that helps. |

One that that's always annoyed me with Windows Mobile and how it treats sms tones is the fact that if you have a relatively long SMS tone, it plays its all the way to the end even though you've probably already read and replied to the txt message. Be nice if someone had a patch , reg edit etc to fix it I think this will fall under the 'etcetera' category. Stop that long SMS tone script. You no longer have to wait for the SMS tone (WAV only) to finish playing. You can cut it off / stop the tone at desired point then proceed with reading your text messages. Simple yet effective solution (at least for me). |

Nice share. Just a request, kindly use animated screenshots next time (*.gif). I have edited your post and changed the 1.79Mb multi jpg screenshots to a dial-up friendly ~300Kb animated screengrabs. Thanks for understanding. |

By 'icons' you are referring to LNKs (Start Menu shortcut) ? You can do it via XML setup file. Below code will delete 'Pocket MSN.lnk': CODE <wap-provisioningdoc> <characteristic type="FileOperation"> <characteristic type="%CE2%\Start Menu\Programs\Pocket MSN.lnk" translation="install"> <characteristic type="Delete"> <parm name="ForceDelete"/> </characteristic> </characteristic> </characteristic> </wap-provisioningdoc> |

Could you pl. make 'beep' rather than speaking. I prefer to have like what Casio watch has :-) I don't have the Casio audio file. Have you tried 'RecEnd.wav' ?
RecEnd.wav ( 2.73K )
Number of downloads: 61For your MortScript code, you could have something like... CODE # Remove previous notification queue RemoveNotifications ("\Storage\Program Files\qMinute.mscr") # Play the WAV file instead of having SpeakingClock.exe tell you the time PlaySound( "\Path\to\RecEnd.wav" ) # Time check GetTime hr,min, sec,dy,mo,yr min=min+1 If (min=60) min=0 hr=hr+1 EndIf # Execute this script every minute, so in effect, play the WAV file every minute RunAt (%yr%,%mo%,%dy%,%hr%,%min%,"\Storage\Program Files\qMinute.mscr") |

Thanks for the info. I use this approach to address ActiveSync's 5-minute sync issue. |
