Are you sure? And you brought that from Expansys? Because  6 months FOC means 6 months Free Of Charge!!
*

But then next to it there is a charge of £7.14 excluding VAT so defintley it is not free

Sorry to bother again. Are you sure the extra pack is half price? Becoz i think only the line rental is half price.

You are right I am being charged £6 a month but I am not sure if it is half price or not.
the bill says "6 Pds Extras Pack 6 mths foc" I do not know what that means.

Did you drop the extra pack after one month?

no I did not because I think it is good value, I beleive it is charged at half price i.e. £3 for the first six months

I received my first bill yesterday, the bill should include the charges for April + May as all networks charge one month in advance

this deal sounds very good, people who still do not have a Jam should really consider it, the only bad thing about it is the network, Orange always seems to have a bad signal at least in my area

if you can live without them then do not bother installing them, most new VB applications use the .net compact framework which to the best of my knowledge comes preinstalled on WM 2003

You can get a free Jam on Vodafone from Expansys with 18 months contract.

The imate club membership is useful, you can save 3 or 4 dollras(£2 ?) on few games and utilities (only few ) but that is it, I find myself going to PocketGear.com to buy the software I need because it is not available on Imate club, for me their downloads are not worth much, you can browse them for yourself on their website as a guest.
Imate however offers usually it's customers the latest roms, if you use other languages other than English (arabic for example) they will offer you some third party utilities for free to enable you to use that language on your device.

I do not know much about Qtek but MDA compact comes with very old rom ( the first that came out), although you can upgrade it yourself

Imate support suggested to delete the device and re-register it again, it worked for me, I can now access the downloads area again.

I received this case today from brando:

http://mobile.brando.com.hk/BWxdaIIMiniLeatherHardCase.php

So far I am happy with it, very good protection and it does not really add much to the size, the best thing about it is that you can make/receive a call without taking the phone out of the case, the screen cover is hard plastic so if you need to use the stylus you will will need to uncover the screen first, cost me $39 (£21) including delivery.

I am also using Martin Fields screen protector, got it from ebay, very good and has a glossy finish

I do not hear anything if I turn the screen on or off. Call quality is very good even better than my old SE T610, if the noise is quite noticeable then I would return it to Expansys

I registered my Imate Jam at Club Imate, but when I go to downloads it tells me I don't have a Jam.

It's the correct IMEI and it is an Imate Jam

any idea?

I have the same problem, but this is only after they replaced their web site with a new one few days ago. sad.gif
I will contact them as I need to download the latest rom for my Jam

Same here - ordered late 15th March, been strung along ever since. The line used by both the CS people when I rang and the guy (presumably) going through a list of cancelled orders who rang me later was that "there have been a lot of faults with this model so T-Mobile have withdrawn them from sale". What a load of rubbish.

Give it a couple of weeks and I guaruntee they'll have them back on their website at an inflated price. At least ukphoneshop had the decency to tell their customers the situation, and let them know that the T-Mobile half price deal was going to run out at the end of March.
*

TMobile should get stock next week but dealers are trying to milk the situation and raise their prices, I put my order initially with ukphoneshop on the 2nd of March, later I cancelled the order as they had no stock, put another order with A1Comm but again they have no stock and are not going to honour the half price offer.
I am cancelling the A1Comm order as I went for the Vodafone offer at Expansys, the Voda deal is as good and it is in stock, my phone should ship tomorrow

You can, I've just done that, can not port if you want to port a vodafone number though (upgrade).

received email saying my application was accepted by Vodafone and waiting for connection to be completed before shipping, does anyone know how long it takes before the item is shipped?

Right for those considering the Expansys deal.

The first six months of the contract are half price from Voda, not via cashback.

You can drop the data pack after 1 month saving £6

You can drop to a lower tariff after 6 months.

The are with Vodafone connect.

Its a much better deal that I first thought.

(Mine should be here in the morning ;-)

do you know if I can port my number from Orange, Expansys web site says "Connect to a new number...>", I dropped them an email but have not received a reply yet.

Thanks
