I know it might sound drastic, but have you tried a hard reset?
(then you'll have the hassle of re-installing any programs you've installed)

I've noticed that too, it seems like some sites just want you to visit the full webpage for the article.

Probably so they have higher viewing figures and can charge more for advertising, or am I too cynical?

Has anyone checked to see if this has MicroSDHC drivers?

Reading various forums, it looks as though most people have the best results with 1.50.
I know I saw a great improvement when I installed it, since I've been happy with it I haven't tried any of the newer ones.

I've had Schaps WM6 3.60a ROM on my phone for about a fortnight, and I've only had to reset it one, and that was after installing SPB Insight.
Plus, using the Comm Manager in this ROM to switch of 3G when I'm not using it adds a bit more life to the battery.

Seriously, flash Schaps 3.60a or Black Satin on it and try it for a week.

Nearly every post on XDA Dev recommends installing Hard-SPL before flashing another ROM.
I spent a weekend flashing different ROMS to check them out, and after 4 flashings still no brick.
(that sentence sounds so wrong)

Look, if I can get WM6 on a Faraday and even a Typhoon why the hell do T-mobile say I can't get it on my Hermes?
(my nephew was a bit confused when I gave him his C500 back, but he loves it now)

Delete the MSMETADATA folder from the card and update the library again.
It's a problem with Mediaplayer not giving the card enough time to respond and then just thinking that there is no card inserted.

Here's one way to fix it;

Open up a Registry editor and find
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager

Then change the values of
PNPUnloadDelay
and
PNPWaitIODelay
to 8196
(that's the Decimal value, in Hex it's 0x2004)

And then soft reset.

As usual, playing around with your Registry is dangerous and should only be attempted if you know what you're do, or just don't care about screwing your machine up wink.gif

I installed HardSPL before using one of the T-Mobile test ROMS.
If you check the XDA developers forums it'll give you information regarding HardSPL and then you can decide whether or not you think the risk is worth it.

I asked the people in the T-Mobile shop near me if there was going to be a new ROM for the Vario II.
They told me the Vario III will be out soon
Then I explained to them that I was asking about a software update for the Vario II.
They told me the Vario III will be out soon and started to tell me how much it would cost for me to upgrade.
I tried again to explain that it wasn't a new phone I was after, that I just wanted to know if there was going to be a software update for handset I've got, and I don't want to change.
And then they told me the Vario III will be out soon and started to tell me how much it would cost for me to upgrade.
At this point I turned around and walked out the shop.

I may as well have been speaking in sign language to a dog.

You could install the HardSPL boot loader, then that would allow you to downgrade the ROM if you feel like it.
Not sure how this effects warranty though.

It might not be your mic, check that the phone isn't stuck in headset mode.
Sometimes the microswitch in the socket sticks and you have to use a toothpick to release it.

I thought that was later this month, or for the carrier specific ones, September.
(though, I may be wrong again)

You're right, my bad.

Wonder why they've removed the 2nd camera?
Mess with people who want to use a ROM image from it in their X7500?

I might be wrong, but I'm sure it has double the RAM and ROM.

I thought I'd bump this up by saying I'm having the same problem too.
Can't send and receive MMS, been through all the settings, went to the Orange website and checked all the settings, and still no joy.
And there is more than 4meg free, I've just flashed to the latest ROM.

Change the properties of the cab file to Read Only and it won't be deleted after the install.

If you're not bothered about using the handsfree headset you can just delete the profile from the registry, you just have to unlock the phone first.
*edit* Actually, this doesn't work, the phone was just teasing me, it's started doing it again, thankfully, I sorted it with a blade of grass (for those times you're in the middle of a field without a cocktail stick).

I solved the problem by deleting the HEADSET profile from the registry, but this probably wouldn't work for people who use the handsfree kit though.
(I don't care because the lead on my handsfree headphones snapped, and now I just use stereo headphones with an adapter)

I've got a C600, and when I upgraded my housemate bought my C500 off me.
I work with a few doctors who have XDA Execs, another one had a C500, not sure what he's upgraded to though.
I see a lot of IT techs with various devices, normally they have variations on the HTC Blue Angel though.

Have you tried going into the activesync settings and telling it not to convert any files that are transfered?
Might work.

I use a 2gb Sandisk card in mine and the performance is better than the 32mb card which I got with the phone (which seems to crash the phone if I update the media player library, it also does this with my C500, so I blame the card).
So it could be your card which is at fault, check out the posts about single layer and multi layer mini-sd cards on here (sorry, don't have time to find the page and link it for you).

Stick it in a zip file, copy it over, then un-zip, problem solved!
