I tried the emulator on my T-mobile dash and it worked really well. The only problem is that it has no save state functionality. Plus it's not free.... |

Great color schemes for my portrait smartphone (3125)! However, I installed it to my landscape BlackJack and now want to remove it but it's not listed either through Remove Programs on the phone nor through Add/Remove Programs in Activesync...any help is appreciated. |

I have a T-Mobile SDA which has a very strange problem. When I start a telephone call, the menu's often start opening and closing rapidly by themselves. Usually the mute option is selected after that so nobody can hear my talk trough the phone. I upgraded with the new sda rom from the german t-mobile site, but that didn't solve the problem. Now I want to try to put the orange or qtek rom on the phone. Do you guys think this will work? And is there a tutorial on this somewhere, I searched alot but I dont quite get how this all works... Thanks! |

QUOTE(MTroni @ Jan 4 2006, 12:36) I really can't believe the major effort and time you have invested in modifying these emus untill they finally work, not only for the new QVGA devices but also for the older devices like my old and extremely trusty C500! I have one question left though: could it be possible to use anything other than the joystick directional keys in PicoDrive for movement? As you know, the directional joystick blocks other key signals and thus impairs multikeypress, whereas if for example the number keys 2, 4, 5 and 6 are used for movement this is not the case. So far I have not been able to find this option in PicoDrive, it might be my wrong but if this is not available yet, could you please take a moment of your time to enable it? Thanks in advance, M Troni Hm you can do multipresses with 2,4,5,6 with your c500? I cannot do this with my Qtek 8010 (htc typhoon), which should be the same phone as yours. Which combinations can you use? |

I'm having a problem getting online on my SMT5600. It worked fine on WM2003, but since I upgraded to WM5, it always says that the network connection was not found. If I plug in a USB cable, it connects through that fine. I used the guides on this site to set up the GPRS and Proxy settings, but there's one part which I can't do: QUOTE 5) On the Data Connections screen change the following to: Internet Connection: GPRS (Cingular WAP) Work Connection: Automatic WAP Connection: GPRS (Cingular WAP) Secure WAP connection: Automatic There's no Data Connections screen on WM5. How do I choose the internet connection for WM5? |

Hey there, I'm trying to figure out how to upgrade my SMT 5600 to Windows Mobile 5. I've been searching these forums for a tutorial but I can't seem to find one. Can someone point me to one? Thanks. Also, I think I'll need to back up my ROM before upgrading to WM5... But, I don't have a miniSD card lying around at the moment. If I muck up the upgrade, and I don't have a backup, does that mean my phone is bricked? Or, does that mean I have to do a hard reset and I lose all my data but my phone still works? |

QUOTE Er, what am I doing wrong? When I try to run this app I get the following error message: You must run the app from Windows (when the device is connected) and not from the smartphone"SDA_ApplicationUnlock" is not a valid Windows CE Application QUOTE(jonnieb @ Oct 30 2005, 16:14) Managed to unlock my phone as above. Tom tom now starts full screen as it should but locks up on the "Legal Page" Any ideas please? Thanks, Jon Yes, you need to create a folder named "TomTom" in the "Storage\My Documents\" folder. Then create a file named "CurrentMap.dat" containing the following line: \Storage Card\Benelux-F-Map\ Replace the tekst above with the name and location of the map you have installed on your memory card Also see the attached file. |

QUOTE(mdavenport @ Oct 27 2005, 06:02) Does anyone know what exactly this changes and is it a better work around than the one already mentioned in this thread. I do like the idea that it puts your settings back when you exit tomtom, however the constant restarting of the phone is quite frustrating. Thanks Mark I believe it's much better then using the phone on the modified and very ugly resolution all the time. Until TomTom comes out with a decent patch, this free tool is working excellent. The tool modifies the display registry settings to be compatible with TomTom (LogicalPixelsx and LogicalPixelsy keys). As the settings are only effective after a restart of the OS, the phone is restarted. Now TomTom works, but outside TomTom, the display is ugly. Therefore the tool detects when you quit TomTom and asks to restore the display settings. This works just fine for me, when I walk to my car, I start it up, when I exit my car, I exit TomTom. In both situations, the display is at it's best. |

QUOTE(chucky.egg @ Oct 26 2005, 19:24) Oxios certainly has a Homescreen plugin, and I think it's free. For my money the best bet is SBSH Papyrus, which you can get free if you join Modaco Plus. It's a complete replacement for your Calendar and Tasks in Smartphone. If you're a big Calendar user it's certainly worth a trial Theres also a Homescreen plugin called SBSH Facade which lets you see several items at once. http://www.sbsh.net/products/papyrus/ http://www.sbsh.net/products/facade/ Thanks. Facade is what I was looking for. |
