I transfer the ringtones to the sounds directory of your phone, not your sd card, then I go to file manager, select all and move to the sd card, it then builds a reference somehow and knows where to look for the custom tones on the sd card. Hope that this helps |

Before you swap, take the sd card out and charge it, might be something associated with the card and thats why the phone is shutting off...I suggest to try and leave the card out of the phone, charge it overnight and see if it turns off. If not, chunk the sd card for a new one, if so, trade it. |

Backup your stuff using sprite or another comparable program. Hard Reset the phone and then try flashing. Hope that this helps. |

I agree with zero, digital cameras are a dime a dozen now-a-days and you cant expect a camera phone to do both jobs great when its primary purpose is to be able to make phone calls and talk. I hear that the new Sony Cybershot 12 megapixel camera is under 400 bucks, not bad for almost 4X the amount of pixels compared to last years model. |

This is just a suggestion, but you might find more answers in the MPX200 forums, since thats the phone that you are talking about. |

I havent the slightest idea, I think thats why I stay with the motorola roms instead of european and asian roms. They just seem more stable. |

I would say the 1.43 ROM from the manufacture Motorola. Nothing to add in extra to make the phone do what it was meant to do, talk on. |

Its a quad band phone, should work anywhere, I find that when you are in the middle of a mountain in colorado, no signal, bummer since I have to walk 20 feet from the center to make a call, or just ride the elevator to the top and then use my phone. |

I dont believe so, they have to be matched with the serial and esn number of the phone to track where it was manufactured and obtain the correct unlock code. Call cingular one phone at a time, usually takes about 48 hours to do but its free and 99% of the time they give you a good one. Heard a couple of horror stories about phones trying to unlock too many times and now they are just paperweights. Good luck |

Just wedge some paper against the bottom portion of the battery so that the battery always maintains contact with the pins. Easy fix. |

Be careful, unplug the charger, take some needlenose pliers and pull out the pins out of the charger end of the connector and see if that works. I have to do it about once a year. Had the same thing happen on a couple of prior phones as well. Might be a manufacture defect on all motorola type chargers |

I dont have the sim manager option in my phone. It would be nice to be able to save a little bit more room on the phone storage since my contact list is almost reaching 300 people. |

I believe I found something in howard forums about a registry tweak that you can change the font color. Or maybe it was in here. you have to use traditional font language though like fff000 or ff00ff and so forth. Just google for it and you should have no problem finding your answer. |

Try using http://home as the homepage. If your phone is setup for mmode settings, it should go to the mmode homepage. If its not configured correctly, search in the forums for att mmode settings and you should be able to find a few threads with the settings to help you out. Can you actively surf the web? |

I have a co-worker that had the same problem. I successfully ran many processes and no lockup. His actually locked up. He purchased a regular mini sd card from best buy. I purchased a mini sd card with the smartphone logo on it and upon amazement, his phone had no problems when we swapped cards. Must be how they are designed. |

I had a similar problem but my fix was to pull the pins on the charger end out a bit using some needle nose pliers and it worked. I guess the pins became weak and snuck down into the charging connector. With the usb cable not syncing, I had to uninstall and reinstall my activesync software. I believe I might have ran into a problem when my computer caught a virus and norton started quarantining files automatically without asking me whether i wanted to or not. Reloading the software seemed to fix my problem, i would give that a try first. |

I have a 1 GB card but I never have tried filling it with that much data. I also have a 512 that is currently in the phone but until I have the urge to copy movies to it and watch on my phone, i think ill stick to the smaller card. I would rather watch movies and listen to music on my 17.2 inch widescreen laptop. |

That threw me off also, I used to click 3 times for the last letter and I just started trying the predictive text strings and to my amazement, its alot faster once you get the hang of it. |
